"Bans under 6 hours are unappealable"

I think I was accepted with a 25-day old chat ban, just saying.

This is because of court fees. You expect lawyers and judges to work for free?
At least he didn't need to pay $500. What are you gonna do.

 

Yes, but instead of money in this situation, it's time. Why wait time for something that you didn't even do?

 

Because it sucks. Crap happens. Sometimes people make mistakes. Move on with life.

 

Also, just a thought--even if your [over six hour ban] gets accepted on appeal, you still cannot apply for staff for 30d.

 

Any ban is appealable. Just depends on if we get to it in time.

 

Sorry, even though I know that Ihooter was guilty, Adloves did still say in the denial reason "bans under 6 hours are unappealable"

I honestly don't know how I feel on this. Because yes the case is rare but it has happened before and will continue to happy with newer staff members coming in. But it doesn't happen so often that we should change the rule on it. Also if a Mod is doing their job and notice that the ban was bull crap then the Mod should take care of it right away and unban the person and get the person who banned them to apologize for making the mistake. I'll admit I made mistakes while I was staff with banning/kicking people then I apologized right afterwards because I knew I was in the wrong.

+1 I have gotten reported for minor towny greifing when he was the one who had all his plot perms turned off. He had to go and intentionally change his perms to outsiders so I thought it was okay. But I do not care about a clean record when I have no intention of ever being mod. Yet, I hate the idea of someone who wants a clean slate for their own future purposes to have an unjust unappealable ban on their record.

 

Discussed. You can appeal, Just highly unlikely it will get answered in time.
