Best U.S. President

Who, in your opinion, was the best president the U.S. has ever had? Go.

 

Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Also he was never a president but Benjamin Franklin is probably the most awesome US Citizen to ever exist.

 

Well, @Deljikho , what about Theodore Roosevelt?

 

'Teddy' was definitely an amazing President, I just think his nephew overshadowed him I've read the auto/biographies of almost every president, and the Roosevelts are both super interesting.

No @Deljikho (sorry my phone can't quote so I just keep tagging you lol). I believe his attitude was entertaining and he did a lot of amazing things but he is not my favorite. I don't quite have a favorite actually, but I admire Reagan deeply. I don't think he can be my favorite, but neither can FDR. FDR is too typical, and honestly, kind of boring.

Franklin D Roosevelt. A true leader and progressive who got the country through a major war and depression.

Having a hard time liking Reagan with reluctance to take any action on AIDS before it got out of control. Also, not the best way to handle the war on drugs.

 

Favorite? Andrew Jackson, dude was such a bamf

 

Yea man. He saved Florida and New Orleans from the British in 1812 as a general and then went off to become president. Awesome guy.

 

Trump

 

Polk was pretty awesome too. He gained a third of the country in one term, succeeding in doing all the things he promised to do while he was president.

 

George Washington, someone had to start the country.

 

George Washington, FDR, or Ronald Reagan.

 

George Washington didn't start the country... In some regards, he wasn't even the first president. John Hanson was (although under the articles of Confederation, not the Constitution).


I don't really have a favorite president, as I'm not going to presume to say how good a president was (or wasn't) not having lived through their time in office. (Bush doesn't count, I was like, 8), so I guess that makes Obama my favorite president, but I don't care for him or his policies.

Dude would legit do anything it took to stay in power.
Now that's determination.

 

In the post-WWII era, I'd say JFK narrowly beats out Carter. With the limited knowledge of a dirty foreigner, mind you.

 

After he became president, he promptly committed some of the most heinous civil rights violations in America's history, rekt the bank (setting the stage for the Great Depression), and alienated the Supreme court.

Personally, I'd probably have to go with Lincoln.
