I would have to say instead of asking or wanting a month you should do a bit of research about your heritage in the US before questioning another. I will give you a small piece of information to assist you in your quest for this answer.

This is the equivalence of me saying “Why is there not a white history month” (though, that would probably be “racist”). Anyway, black history month is meant to see what African-Americans were put through & how they worked (with the help of us “racist” Republicans *smell my sarcasm*) hard to get to where they are today. Blacks helped build America, it’s not just about being recognized for your race or ethnic background, black history month is a month to celebrate the accomplishments of African Americans. Blacks left a huge mark on America.

I know I have, I am proud to be white. But I understand why we have a black history month & im for black history month. I think it’s a time to celebrate the obstacles that African-Americans have been put through & their impact in the country.
