Events!

For all Europeans, The times that events are hosted are useless. They are between 1-3AM, which basically means a lot of people (All *or most* Europeans are sleeping) will not be able to attend.

My suggestion: Hold the Event a bit earlier in the day. I know this is an American server, but you've got to think about it. There so many players who have only been to one or two events, and even some that have never been to an event! (like me)
Please think about it, I want to start participating events. Until this happens, I shall continue to just read the threads of last nights events when I wake up in the morning.

or hold it twice a day :] lel. Do they now have them every day?

 

For me, the events are held at lunch time (I think) which can be annoying because I miss a lot.
If events were held twice a day 6-10 hours apart I think that would be a great idea

 

The issue is, we lack the manpower to hold events X times daily. However, I agree we should find a solution that would be most exclusive to the player-base.

 

Perhaps allow any player to host an event, except they use their own money to pay the winner? Maybe a fee to host an event, + the money for the winner?

 

Generally the events rely on some power via op, worldedit, etc. The only automated solution would maybe be a plugin.

 

Even if a plugin is needed, this would be a hell of a way to drain meebles from the economy.
