Intro:

Hello MeepCraft! My name is Adam, but to most of you, known as flamedemond. I enjoy many things other than just MineCraft; “swimming”, “tennis”, “volleyball”, “math”, “hanging out with friends”, “etc.” When a friend is down, or just feeling bad, I always try to comfort them and ask what’s going on, see what I can do for them. Almost all the time, they end up feeling better in no more than minutes. It warms me up, knowing I did something to help that person’s life get better, because that one thing could’ve made their entire life a misery. I always love being able to help the people when they need it or when they’re feeling down. So I do in fact do many other things than just play MineCraft, but I find time for it.

Why:

Well, there are many reasons that I would like to be staff, and I’m not exactly too organized when I list many things together in a bunch, so I’m going to do bit by bit.

Activity:

Forum activity:

I’ve been on forums since around February 2013. I have gone through 3 forums and have been very active on all. When on forums, I usually look around: “Ban Appeals”, “Discussion”, “Q&A”, “Staff Recruitment” and “Unofficial Guides”. These are all really helpful to me and allow me to better my amount of helping done and to get involved with the community a lot. I normally look through “Ban Appeals” because when I get accepted for Helper (if I do), I can answer back to ban appeals with sufficient proof in order for the ban to hold, or to say why they should be unbanned, but saying it as when people get accepted. Discussion is a way for me to get involved in the community and stay out of the darkness, which many of the higher up staff don’t do (no offense. Just pointing it out), and to sort of understand what’s going on. It is a great opportunity to get involved with the rest of the server and to see what’s going on. Q&A is a great way to help others, not in game and then players can always check the thread if they want to remember it. It’s a great way for you to help players without needing to be online In Game and they can always go back and look at the answer. I look at Staff Recruitment because it teaches me, in a way, how to advance and improve my own staff applications. Now, for the last one, I look at Unofficial Guides frequently because it is very helpful to many players who are in need of help. It is there on the forums for when they need it and then they can always go back look at it when needed. It is a great way to aid others other than just Q&A or In Game. I also have over 500 posts and have been a member since July 2013 (on new forums). I try to be the most active I can be when not in-game or sleeping. So all in all, I believe I am very active on forums and can get involved with the community.

In game activity:

I believe I am very active in game as well. I am always online looking for an opportunity to help others. I am always entertained In Game, and therefore, I am online quite frequently. I am in game a lot and it allows me to help others either in /shout - /g, /msg or in local chat. The staff team needs to have active players to be able to have players helped. A few staff was recently demoted from staff: Mod – Helper, Mod – Citizen/Rank and it shows that they aren’t doing well as staff (not all of you. Just talking about a few in mind) and it just goes to show that staff need to be active to be able to get this job.

Experience:

I do have experience of being staff on other servers in the past. For all those positions, the Owners all had great experiences with me as staff. I kept my position as staff for about 5 months for all of them. About 3 months into me playing MeepCraft, I found MeepCraft became so fun, so I resigned to play on MeepCraft more often. Needless to say, I can adapt to commands I have not yet learnt quickly.

Dedication:

From the very moment I joined MeepCraft, I was 100% sure that I would have an amazing time. This past year I’ve had proves it. It has been a smooth road with a few bumps in it, but all is fine at the end – I quote “All is well that ends well”. All these past experiences have ended well enough that the road is still smooth. I dedicate almost all my free/spare time to playing MeepCraft. It doesn’t end soon for me, and I intend to be here for a long time.

Involvement:

I think I am very involved with the community. I am always checking in Discussion on forums and that is where most of the community involvement ends up in. This is honestly a very nice community and I am happy to be a part of it. I am almost always spending my time with the community and getting involved when I’m online. Its how I have fun on Multiplayer, playing with multiple players, getting involved and becoming part of the MeepCraft community. I’m proud to say that I am involved with this amazing community.

Summing it all up:

Well, as you can probably tell by now, there are many reasons why I would like to be a staff member. I’m just going to point out so of the main reasons here. I love to help, and with Helper, I would be able to help a lot more efficiently by being able to answer modreqs and not be spammy in shout. I would also love it, because I have been a member of the community for quite a while now, and I would love to be able to take that next step higher up to get more involved with the community. It would be a great way for me to learn strategies dealing with people not only in game, but in real life too, which would help me greatly in my future when in high school+.

Weaknesses:

As all people know, nobody is perfect. They all have their weaknesses, and so do I. Some are more major than others, but it all works out fine.

Stubbornness: My biggest weakness is being stubborn when it comes to someone being right. If I think that I am right, I will keep on supporting my idea until they give me enough proof to change my mind.
Immaturity: I can be immature, just like everyone can, but I tend to get immature a bit more than usual when I’m just playing the game. I can be mature and immature, but sometimes I will get caught up in the moment and stay immature for a short while after I should stop.
Anger: I tend to get angry quite often in real life. I try not to let it affect my experience in game, and so far it hasn’t, but if something goes off the hook with me, I will just lose it. It will probably happen in the future, but if I do get angry, I can always just refrain myself from doing things in game, and rather just punch a pillow over and over again if I need to.
OCD: I would kind of consider this a weakness, because if someone misspells something, I have a major urge to correct it, and I know that being corrected doesn’t always feel nice. I can work on this, but I don’t think it affects me much in game other than buildings.

Strengths:

Just thought I’d name a few strengths to see some qualities of me.

Typing speed: I will admit, I don’t have extremely fast fingers, but I am able to type around 60 – 80 words per minute when I know what I want to type.
Knowing commands and rules: As I stated above, I have been staff on other servers, therefore I am familiar with commands (also somewhat familiar with hawkeye, but not all.) I am also very familiar with towny commands regarding mayors, assistants and residents. I am quite familiar with the rules as well. I spend time almost every other day memorizing the punishments, refunds, etc.

Conclusion:

I have really enjoyed my past year on MeepCraft and it has been a real joy being able to get involved with the community a lot. I really enjoy helping others, and being Helper would allow me to do this more efficiently. I’d be ecstatic if I do get accepted and I would do my very best to not let anyone down.

Hey flamedemond. I see you ig constantly and you are helping in /shout and just generally helping out all over. Your forums activity is good. The stubborn thing I think you can get over and you're probably already more mature than some of the current staff so I'm a +1!

First of all, I want to make it very, very clear that only STAFF can accept or deny applications, not citizens.

Second of all, While your application was solid, it was edited, which is a big no-no.

You are active in-game, yes, but you rarely help.

I have seen many times where you have been immature in-game recently, including a few people saying you spammed someone after you fought them in the Olympics, though I can't confirm this.

Your forums activity is outstanding.

Overall, I don't think you have the maturity required to perform the duty of a staff member, and editing your application certainly will not help your chances.
