Reason for ban: Redirecting owner's messages.

Why we should consider your appeal: No rules were broken. Since my name is Fuzzlr2, I get many messages that people are trying to send to the owner. When this happens I say that they have the wrong Fuzzlr or something along those lines. I thought it was funny how all these people were messaging me (I did not reply to a few people) so I said in /shout, "The amount of messages that I get that are meant to be sent to the owner is insane." I was banned at this point after saying that.

Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: Fuzzlr might have assumed I was answering these messages and pretending to be him, but that is a wrongful assumption. I have already talked to staff and they have told me that my name is fine as long as I do not pretend to be the owner of the server. I have not impersonated any of the staff members. This most closely falls under he Global rules: section 5.

- Impersonating a staff member
- Threats to any aspect of the server’s well-being or the people that run it
- Lagging and/or crashing the server with items
- Charging back a donation
- Advertising any other Minecraft server (An IP does not have to be included)

I have not violated any of these rules.

I planned on changing my name back to my other name name, Minigun, as soon as possible(mid-August) since that is my favorite name.

 

What staff said it was alright?

 

Why would you change your name to the owners? I think the only reason is that you wanted to intersecpt a message from staff to the owner.

Please help me by understanding that train of thought that you had when you were changing your name.

 

I filed a /modreq and a mod answered it, I do not remember who.

I was looking for a cool name to name myself temporarily just to change it up.

Also, I never attempted to intercept a message from the staff to the owner. I'm not sure where you got this from, but I have never received a message from a staff member that was intended to be for the owner. If that would occur, I would say that they have the wrong Fuzzlr, just like I have been with everyone else. I know about this and I do not wish to be banned, that is why I do not break the rules. This is also why I contacted a staff member so I knew what was allowed and what was not. I clearly have no intention of causing harm or being banned. If somehow I caused problems or broke the rules, I am sorry and I would like to continue playing meepcraft. I have been playing for 3 years and I do not wish to be banned after my years on this server.

 

Alright, so Once you change your name in-game, and confirm with me and the ban will be lifted. It is always best to ask the player who's name you are almost the same as, in this case it was Fuzzlr.

The one you broken was Impersonating a staff member, Fuzzlr banned you for having the almost same name as him, this was making players msg you and not the owner.

 

The facts here are simple, to be unbanned you need to change your name. Once that is done, we'll be glad to unban you.

 

This was already discussed by XChaosZeroX and understood by me.

My Minecraft name has now been reverted back to Minigun.
