Dear Meep,
I have decided to quit, staff if you would close my app and deny it, thank you. I want to say the reason was NOT meep related. I found this server that I really like and I found myself liking it more than meep. If the higher staff(smods or admins) could transfer my rank to my mayor etha_lightflame, I thank you. I will visit occasionally, but not often.

what server is better than meep?

 

If you are looking at purely player count, reliability of plugins, amount of staff in time zones, than *pls no ban* ecocity is.

 

Ohgodno. I joined that server almost 4 years ago and stopped playing it a good 2 years ago. There's so much you don't know. ;-; Plzno

oh, It seemed succesful whenever I played.

 

They used to have a constant 500 players and now they're struggling to stay at 100. Their cheapest donation features went from $20-60, which was quite ridiculous. The economy is awful. Try asking a question in chat there and let me know how long it takes for someone to answer it. Andrew was the original owner, and after 3 years of running it, he one day just threw his hands up and tossed it over to his (then) Head Admin, giving her a 24 hr video on how to run the server and leaving for quite a while. Any discussion about the incidence in chat would get you temp banned, and that's when they lost a good 300 players.

There's a lot more to the story, but most of it is personal so if you'd like to know, you can msg me sometime and we'll talk about it. Not bashing the server, but it's changed so much since I first joined (But as has Meep, for many here.) and I feel like MeepCraft is doing much better off than they ever will again. Though, if they're managing to convince their new players that they're successful and keeping them around, kudos to them on their resilience.

 

I wouldn't criticize them for this considering we used to have a constant 1000 and now we're struggling to stay at 50.

 

At peak times we can get 90-110 people on for a few hours, and we are growing...

god being an optimist hurts...

 

That is Friday and Saturday night. Every other time that I have been on the rest of the week, we have been under 50, in fact, we have been closer to 25 than to 50.

And we are not growing. In 2014 when we had 400 players everyone said we were growing. In 2015 when we had 100-200 people were still saying we were growing. Not that we're well under 100, we need to face the fact that we are not growing. Whether that is Meep's fault or simply the fact that Minecraft is less and less popular, I'm not sure, but probably more the latter.

 

We have 60-70 every morning when I first log in in the morning. We also (at midday) get 60+
