/heal removes all other effects

Pre-ban I learned /heal clears your effects (including night vision and haste II, can't confirm for others atm because banned) and I just remembered that today.
(This occurred in Wild)

Also as of a month ago or so dying in parkour removes your night vision (and presumable other effects) which is really inconvenient if you're trying to play chillroom without fullbright or modified gamma

 

ah I see. It would be really convenient if it didn't take away positive effects though (found this cause I wasted a haste note :/) like fire res, regen, haste, or NV

 

It is extremely annoying to have to reapply night vision every time you heal.
And losing haste notes and potions are annoying.
