When did you join Meepcraft? June 27th 2014

Introduction: Hi there fellow meepers! I know your time on the game is extremely valuable so I won’t take too much of your time with all the introductions. My name is Alex (Dawn if you prefer) While many of you may know me in game, or my constant chatter on ts, there’s more to me then meets the eye. I’m the average 15 year old Missourian male, Extremely into gaming, music, and food. While I do enjoy meepcraft I set standards for myself so that I’m not average, because I know I’m not. And here’s a couple examples that set me apart from the crowd


Music- My life revolves around music, I can’t get enough of it. I play many instruments, Oboe and Flute to name a couple. I started around 12 years old by getting one of the leads in the Sound of Music as Kurt Von Tropp. After learning my first Do Re Mi’s i got pretty into music, learning every song from Les Miserables and more, playing them on my oboe and flute by ear. Starting at 14 i started to try and compose songs by playing piano. I still am composing today


Friendship- I try my absolute best to try and make people smile, because seeing somebody smile is the best thing to see. After moving from Owasso in Oklahoma I tried so desperately to make friends, and i made a lot in the first few days. On meepcraft? My first friends were Forte and _Peridonyx_. They welcomed me into the community with open arms and taught me a lot about what it means to be kind and generous to others, LadyCassandra also taught me respect and gentleness, and as cliche as it might seem, i wouldn’t be the guy I am today without all my friends in game and out of game. And after recently leading Luke 18 at church i realized that we all have our roles to play, and mine is to be an amazing friend.

Why should you be Helper? I believe I’m ready for this position and here’s my reasons why.


Trust- Through my years of experience I’ve learned that there’s one trait people can confide in me with. Trust. Many of my friends, and many people in the community would be able to tell you I’m very trustable. When handling a modreq, or anything that I would be required to do, I can be trusted not to abuse perms, and furthermore carry out the thing required of me to do with fairness.


Leadership- During band, and all the other things I’ve done in school I've learned that I'm a true leader, totally ready to be helper. I’ve led my band too 2 titles at nationals in Indianapolis for middle school band and I’ve always helped my fellow band nerds learn fingerings, music, and even privately tutored. I can do the same in meep. Help all my fellow meepers learn the fingerings of the game and be a leader to the community and meep as a whole


Helpfulness- As I see them I help people out in /g and a lot more in /msg. I believe that my years of experience should be put to better use and be used to help the best server on minecraft. While lots of people may not see it in me, I’m very helpful towards newer players and especially helpful when it comes to people needing help in towny and onwards, just as i have in my real life when it comes to band, school, and singing.


Empathy- Most helpers have this trait and it one I’m absolutely sure I have! Empathy is the ability to understand the feelings of others, and that I’m sure I can. For community service I do a thing called PEP. This is activities for mentally handicapped or disabled people living in a community together. I’ve learned that even looks, and attitudes, mean nothing, as they are people. I always ask myself “Is this how i want to be treated?” And if its no, I don't say anything. I can easily do that in meep by treating everyone with kindness and fairness.

What are your weaknesses? Like any normal human being i have flaws.


First impressions. They scare me so much! “What if I do the wrong thing” “What if I offend them!” Those are some of my worst fears I can ever list, and this interferes with my connectivity to the community. I’m really working on this. Because I know that this is Meep! Everyone will accept me for him I am and I need to shine! I can also now understand (due to cooleysworld and my friends) that there will be people that don't like me, and I’m learning to take that. I know that I could definitely shine as a helper if I improve on my first impressions.


Anger- This has definitely been an issue in the past. I have burst out on several occasions on people and I have really regretted it. I remembered how to be empathetic and have been really sorry for everyone that I’ve hurt in the past. I’ve definitely improved on this a lot, because I haven’t gotten mad at anyone for a long time.


Immaturity- Yes, I can be immature because I’m 15, and this is the age i need to start realizing that being immature is bad. I need to realize that there’s a time and a place for it. I do love to use the ;-; and <3 a lot. But there is a time and a place for that. This really isn’t as bad, because aren’t we all immature at times? But it can definitely be annoying.


Being touchy- On some topics I can be pretty touchy, some of them make me happy, others depressed. There are just times and places for certain topics (ex. Religion, Politics) These simply do not belong in game. I’ve been learning to control them by simply ignoring is, and i know i have friends who will be there for me when i need them, so this could be pretty easy to fix.

-You are extremely considerate and your empathy skills are pretty great.
-You have great activity on forums, teamspeak and in game interactions.
-When talking on teamspeak or in game you have a tendency to sing and get carried away with talking about what you are doing at the moment, but don't we all do that sometimes? I think singing can be overlooked, because I like to as well.
-You include everyone in what you're doing, and you make sure no one feels left out.
-Your knowledge about towny and the server itself is great (always room for improvement though)
-You can be very mature about serious situations, with your empathy skills its a + because you can imagine what someone is going through.
-You are calm in serious or dangerous situations, you take a couple steps back and think clearly before you do anything rash. (You have been working on your week points and this is the result of your hard work)
I am very proud of you of the person you have become and will be. Watching you grow into a wonderful person is an amazing thing to see in a short time. I have to say that this application is the best you have written.

I believe that anger and immiturity are two big flaws even though you have some good qualities.

I'm not entirely sure what your motives are for staff. You seem to be helpful and nice on the outside, but you don't seem very genuine. I think you're doing this all for popularity. You are really about acting on impulse especially when fueled by rage/anger. You seem like the kind of person who posts all of their charity work on social media to show how "good" of a person they are. You are very immature, I've never seen you respond positively to criticism. You took a "break" from meep after getting denied. This shows me that you tend to overreact to things. You are very confident and when you're wrong you play it off as if it's not your fault.

Overall, I could see you as a staff member if you realize and take it for what it actually is. Good luck.

While I did take a "break" I did realize that that was super immature for 1 thing. And that was a long time ago.

Now onto the popularity thing

Lots of people think I'm am doing this as a notice to become popular so I'll be honest. I'm NOT. Trust me. I know a lot about what it means to be staff, and they take some serious heat. I'm not doing this to be popular, I'm doing this because I know I can seriously impact this server and be the helper everyone truly wants me to be

You made another application that is great to see you are excited to be staff and have changed your personality in such a short amount of time!

With this I believe you are not suited for staff. I had a situation with yourself because you were being an absolute pain not just to myself but the entire channel on teamspeak and when asked if you could stop/settle down you preceded to continue your antics on teamspeak.

It appears you love gossip just nearly as much as I love food, a few times I have been in a channel with yourself as you love to find out and share things about other players. Which on one occasion I said you should not share a certain situation with people which I do or do not know if you did.

You are quite judgemental as I have seen on discussion threads you will add an extra line for an example saying "You seem like the kind of person who gets mad when he doesn't get his way no offence." I believe the immature should stear clear from the discussion threads because they do add an exta something that is not needed.

Although you are kind to people I believe that you may lie to them since you love to know/share the dirt and potentialy do the same withing the staff. What is there to back up that you wont leak staff chat?

Its a -1 from me but fixing up your maturity issues and being more helpful I believe you could be well fit for the team.

Remember you don't need to be staff to help people.

I'm really doubting my vote so i'm not going to leave a vote as of now.
I agreed to be a reference because I personally believe you have changed a lot in a very short amount of time.
But when I said yes I don't think I really thought about it, as I have a very hard time saying no. You have done some things that is looked down upon and I don't think that's a very good reputation to carry on a staff members shoulders. Although, you're a sweet friend and as much as I love being around you (skyblock ) you can sometimes be a little too much to handle. And by that I mean, you can be a "suck up" understand it like this; You changed your name for Spongey and Peri, sure you love them and all but I really don't think it does you any good, and it's not necessary. I also often see you comment on other peoples profiles and your comments are often "you should follow me <3<3!!!" Maybe it's a joke? I'm not sure because I've seen you do it quite a lot as of now.

Dawn, please don't get me wrong. You are a good person and you really want to become staff but in my opinion wanting to be staff isn't necessarily a good thing as a saying goes; "Don't give the power to those who really want it as they will abuse it and most likely lose control." You probably haven't heard it before but it's one of my faves from a book. I believe this is very true in your chase.

I hope you understand what I mean, if no, then please just ask and I will explain further.

Greetings Dawn, I believe you are active and like the server, but my vote is going to yet again be a -1
-You're very dependent on others, and I don't trust that your decisions will be based off of your own opinions. I don't believe that you're able to contribute an opinion that is truly your own. A lot of the things that you do are revolved around what you think others would want you to do.
-You like to be involved in drama, and will do whatever it takes to make people like you. When problems are brewing, you try to get right in the middle of things so you know what's going on. I truly believe that you want to be a staff member to be in the thick of drama.
-On forums I see a lot of discouragement due to rankism, age, or bias. That's not very nice.
-I've known you for awhile now, and although the change has made you seem more desirable, I can't see any of it being sincere. A few months ago you were arguing with players a lot in global, and now you've changed so much that I don't know what to believe. It feels like every time you apply you're a different person. I would rather you be a great friend than be what everyone looks for in a staff member. It's starting to hurt me how much your personality has changed. I want the old you back.
If you would like to talk to me you know where to find me. You're a fantastic player, but I'm still not convinced that you would make a good helper.

-1. Dawn you were a good friend of mine but here`s what I have to say, and what you need to work on!!!!!!!!. You are really immature, you like to gossip and overreact to criticism from other players. If you want to be staff you should be patient with other players and nice. Another thing is that you never finish the job. When you made the /pwarp star you asked me to pay you meebles to keep it up, I also made the shop because I wanted to but you dont even use the pwarp, its just there. I`m sorry if this offended you but you really need to work on this. Stop applying for staff unless you think you have worked on these flaws and are ready, for sure that you will get it.

I've held off a little on posting on this one because to be honest, I'm unsure now.
You're really awesome on ts and that made me happy. You're nice to me and caring, then again I rarely chat in larger rooms right now and that's where some people say they are seeing problems.
I told you to help more and I'd ref you, I said you could add me so it's no big deal, but you really need to be helping out more and be a friendlier person in chat, you want to be a person people, any people, can look up to and ask a question or ask for help. You don't really seem to have that aura.

You're a nice guy, I love you and all that, and yes I will support you and say that I think you'd be a good staff. But I also think, partially on the above votes making me realize I was biased, that you need more time.

You're cool, many people feel comfortable around you, but you're not helper material. Its just that. I strongly beleive in Peri's words:
