Introduction: Hello everyone. Most of you know me as martinq17, but others know me on a first name basis. I am a 9th grader in Central Florida. I enjoy ultimate frisbee on the weekends and playing my saxophone in school. I have been a member of this server for a little over a year as of now. I have only been banned twice. Once was last year when my account was hacked. I was unbanned in the server reset last july and I was banned again when my friend came on and rank scammed. As you can see I was unbanned. I have not allowed these bans to come in front of me and even when I was banned I tried to continue to be active on the forums. In my year+ of Meep, I have been taught both loyalty and leadership. This has allowed me to be assistant in many towns and also know when to do as told. This server has only improved my character both ig and outside in the real world.


Why:
Throughout my time on Meep, I have become extremely dedicated to the server and I do things only for the best of the server. I am constantly online and always trying to throw in my helpful quips where I can and stay out of situations that I'm not meant to be in. I am already aware of the Helper commands and I plan to use them only when necessary. I will NEVER do something without knowing that it is the correct thing to do. I believe there is a staff only chat that I can use to ask any questions before I do something unnecessary.
This year, I have involved myself in a organization called Habitat for Humanity. What we do at Habitat is we build cheap and affordable houses for people in need. It is completely voluntary and it takes a lot of effort. Since the beginning of this year (school year), I have gone every saturday except for 3. At Habitat, I have learned how to show leadership when it's necessary and also not to do something wrong. I ask my superiors how to do something before I do it.
Even if I do not get this Helper role, I will continue to live my Meepcraft life how I normally do -- For the benefit of others. This role will allow me to expand my ability to help and make the community grow.


Weakness: I'd have to say that one of my weaknesses is ability to communicate via TeamSpeak. I am oftentimes listening but I only speak if it becomes necessary. I do not like my voice and I have parents that don't allow me to talk often. I will speak if it is necessary but I will probably not involve myself in conversations. Another one of my weaknesses is knowing the proper ban length for things such as towny grief/theft and things like excessive swearing/sexual reference. I have taken it upon myself to memorize these details in the rules section of the forums. My last weakness is that I do have my favorite spots of the server (as everyone pretty much does) and I will spend sometimes and entire day there. If this does happen to occur I will try to move around as best as I can throughout the rest of the week and I will try not to become centralized around only one warp/area.


Conclusion: I hope you take into account my dedication and love for this server. This role as Helper will only help me skyrocket my ability to help everyone. As you can see my weaknesses are not drastic and I hope these will not come in the way of my potential. Naturally, I fully understand if this is denied and I just thank you now for taking the time to read this application and give me your opinion. I do ask everyone that does -1 me to please give me constructive feedback as I will try to improve my involvement in the server.

I thought about this as well. Except for the fact that I wasn't gone that long, I came back and jumped right into the swing of things, and I haven't forgotten anything.

+.50 I believe you would be ready, even after returning. Your app is well-though out, but a little on the short side. Your activity is overall very good, and you are very helpful. Your nice and mature too. Although your weaknesses part said it, your ts is good, but the talking part not the best. You still need a bit more improvement though, after returning. Good luck on your app! Just try helping a BIT more

 

I kind of feel the same was as Mr. waffle. I feel that you should wait a little bit more. So Ill be a -1 for now.

Me replying is not an act of being desperate it is purely me trying to improve and clarify on the feedback I get. Thank you for including this, however.

+.5 You are one of my buddies martin. You are always very nice which is a plus. However, being a bit more helpful in game would probably do you good, such as in /shout. Also, more forum activity in areas such as "Q&A" really shows off what you know.

You're a nice guy and I think you could be staff some day, just not today. You need to improve on the helping. And as Abby said, don't reply to everything. Just say a regular post and thank everyone for their feedback in one post. It does make you look kinda desperate just stalking your application. Good luck though!
