is TMI allowed?

Hello Meepers. What do you guys think? I downloaded TMI for item-id purposes. I prefer it and consider it a viable alternative to /iteminfo or F3. But is it considered "hacking" in any way? Most if not all of the illegal "functions" of the mod are disallowed by lack of permissions, therefore that part isn't an issue. I'd like to get your opinion(s) on this so we can find a proper answer for this question. Thanks!

You should probably contact several staff members directly about this.
It's not an allowed mod in the rules, so common sense says no it's not allowed.

 

Will do. I've removed the mod until I can get a clear answer on it. Also, where did you see TMI exclusively or profoundly listed as "not allowed?" I can't seem to find it Here?

 

I asked awhile back and the answer was nay, however times have changed so I would do as the great Munkeh says and contact a stick staff.

 

i don't see why it would be a problem, you can't spawn in anything unless you are op/in singleplayer. all it REALLY does is let you view item ids, names, images and recipes. right?

it should be added to the list of allowed mods unless i missed something

I think the issue was that /recipe was not available to the masses, and only elite+ could do it back in the day. TMI allows you to see recipes, and was therefore a way to get "free perks".

yes but you can just go to a website called www.google.com and search for any recipe you want so

 

Btw le FN + H turns on item info so that might be easier than downloading a mod for that purpose.

but if ur on mac its FN+F3+H at the same time

Apologies. For me it is Fn + F3 + H.

 

People still use TMI? NEI and/or JEI is so much better.
