I come on everyday to make enough money to cover my town taxes. I really count on that 4k to help me attain that goal. I don't make out like a bandit on this server by any means as it is not that easy to make meebles. Well it is easy to make them but not any amount that will break the economy. My life has gotten really busy and its hard for me to put the time in to make meebles. I come on to vote and make enough to cover my taxes, if this was lowered my town would probably fall as I just don't have the time I used to have for minecraft.

I understand your reasoning behind this, but I must disagree. Things like this make it much harder for "casual" players to keep themselves afloat.

The whole reason to nerf it is to balance the economy. However, the economy works better with more players. Taking away methods for less active players who just want to come on, talk with friends, and have a good time will make them leave, further lowering our playercount.

I discussed this with teddypines just yesterday in regards to increasing Towny plot upkeep. The same idea applies. Voting benefits the server overall, and I know most newer players use it to afford taxes in towns.

The ripple effect of this is towns would start losing more because residents can't afford taxes as easily, less players could support themselves without dedicating hours and hours every day playing, and an overall smaller economy.

At this point in time, I feel that a lot of individuals truly rely on the voting prize to keep their towns and other various operations afloat. We might reconsider it in the future, but at this point in time we do not plan on implementing this suggestion.
