Minecraft PC Build Guide Poll

Hello everyone! Recently, I have decided to do a budget PC build guide for those like me who have struggled with lag. I have researched gaming desktops for about a year now, and by my calculations I will have enough saved buy the end of the year. Anyway, for those of you who know brands, I have produced a poll. If you have no idea, just vote Intel.

Eh try using a lenovo t440 laptop with about 1.5 years of daily usage. It can run it if you do not mind playing with 30 fps on a good day and 5-10 fps on a bad day.

 

Lag is generally not due to your PC but your network (Internet)

Run and play smoothly at 60fps are two completely different things my friend.

 

Actually, no. I have 2 computers that won't. A 2000 Vaio and a 2004 Toshiba. So I play on the mighty iMac!

P.S. Callow, a 2012 iMac with 4 external 1TB drives will run smoothly up to like 200fps.

 

Also, I forgot to mention pricing. Right now I am working on a $900 build to compete with the base model 11" Macbook Air, aka the cheapest computer Apple sells. However, if people want me to make something a bit cheaper, let me know.

 

Really it kinda can, just buy a gt710 and boom instant frame grouth


AS far as the PC intel Is better for $400 plus builds but if you on a really cheap budget its gonna be amd. Intel gets more peformence per core. so the Pentium g250 or what ever it is, is really like 3 cores instead of 2. Plus a Pentium anivorsy wont bottleneck a 960 so that's sayin something.

Yes I do know this and I should have stated I'm not talking about minecraft since it does run weird. But for me here is how I buy cpu/gpu


CPU= 100 and below amd 101 and above intel
GPU: 150 and below amd 151 and above nvidia

Just the motherboard and cpu would bust most peoples budget.

 

The motherboard itself it pretty standard, although high quality. 4790k with a 970 is pretty good. I am looking at a tier lower for myself, with a 6600k and a 960.
