Minecraft Ruined

This guy touches on the subject of 1.9 ruining PvP pretty well. I know most PvP servers won't update because this is an absolutely horrible idea of an update. I thought Mojang/Microsoft said that they were going to listen to the community?

What the hell were they thinking? I find it ironic that the "Combat Update" is going to ruin PvP! I haven't really been PvPing much lately, but this almost makes me want to quit the game altogether...

 

Microsoft: He guys, were updating Minecraft again!
Players: But the last update was horrible. What will this new one add that will be any better?
Microsoft: We're gonna add a bunch of new stuff to PVP.
Players: How will what you are adding affect PVP?
Microsoft: It will pretty much ruin it.

Even as a minority, pvpers do hold a share in this server. If you update I'll quit- and so will a bunch more people

 

This coming from pot pvpers and very controlled pvper? The recharge effect is able to be toggled, shields won't be in most Pot Pvp gamemodes and a lot of good pot pvpers say the second hand improves the gamemode. Shields are still being buffed, the recharge effect is still being worked on. The last four updates everyone has been complaining about the update.

 

Microsoft: What the heck, pvp is already broken so we might as well break it some more

 

I am very good at something. That thing is going to change. I'm worried that the change will make me less good at it. Naturally, I am going to say the change is going to ruin it.

 

All i hear from this is

"Oh my god, I won't be able to spam click and rek noobs anymore! Oh no! I might lose items! This is truly bad because I can actually lose now!"

 

Could people please wait until 1.9 is finished before making remarks on it?

 

I have a question, if you guys don't like the 1.9 update, what do you want to be changed/added to PVP?

 

From someone who sees this in a different light I believe that they should either buff swords, improve the sword system so it is less ping based(My AUS friends got cranky), or remove it which kind of happened. Bows were buffed big time and now swords are unbalanced compared to them. Either buff the damage( Have it so charged hits do more damage then 1.8 regular hits and spam hits do less but it isn't as useless) or have it so if you miss only, you have to recharge.

 

Lmao I'm gald they're doing this. No more attack spammers. It would actually take skill now to get a kill.

for everyone: wait out 1.9 instead of complaining about it now. Nothing about the snapshots is closed to the final version. keep your cool, wait it all out, give constructive feedback to Mojang devs instead of sending them death threats! just Wait. its not like complaining is going to change anything. you find a bug you report it. you think something should change you tell the devs. easy.

 

Bring back 1.7 it was perfect imo

Well if that's what you're hearing then you need to see a doctor.

In my opinion, I don't think we're worried about the effect this will have on our PvP skill, it's much more to the fact that it's making PvP a lot more dull and stupid. Now, I'm not quite sure how duel wielding is going to work, but won't this kind of ruin the whole point of hotkeying? And a few minor changes that were made in 1.8 already slightly ruined my PvP experience for me, I used to love the animation it would make when you left and right clicked at the same time to drink a pot and blockhitting looked cool. And not to mention the way you could make that cool looking animation when you right and left clicked the bow at the same time, EVEN though I hate the bow because I am so terrible at it, I just liked using the bow for the cool animation, and once again, they removed this for whatever reason which has made the bow even more boring for me.

Now PvP is just going to look dull and boring. Rip PvP, it was good... And then Microsoft happened...

 

I think I like this update now.

 

I do agree with you, it will make it a lot more dull, but you have have to have a lot more strategy. I talking about the people saying "Pvp is gonna suck ,if the server updates i'm quitting". It just annoys me.

Why fix something if it's not broken? This is pointless

 

I personally like the new changes. It takes away the stupid spam click win from people, and adds actual strategy to a battle.
Also, the update is nowhere near finished.

 

By taking away the "spam click" (jitter click which takes practice to do while maintaining good aim) then where's the skill? Clicking once everyone 5 seconds.. Wow! Such an intense battle!!!11!

Sorry but you make it sound like zero strategy is needed. There's already strafing, there WAS block-hitting but that's pretty much removed now.

This update will remove strategy and skill. And replace it with skilled players being easily killed by newbies because there's no skill needed.

What's gonna be in the next update? Give everyone Aimbot?
