Do you want a prebuilt or do you want to save a few hundred bucks by building one? What's your budget? What will you be using it for? How many applications do you usually use? What are your expectations for performance and quality of those applications? We need more details.

I always end up spending more when I build mine xD but most people do save money.

    image8.JPG image6.JPG R5 1600 OC'd to 3.4ghz, 2x 4gb Corsair Vengeance, GTX 1050 (Poor choice), 120gb Kingston SSD, 1tb WD blue HDD, Asus ROG B350-F, with a 31.5" 1440p monitor.

(I built it, cost a lot more than I had planned, but was still cheaper than a prebuilt. Could've bought a really cheap used car for the price, but it was well worth two years of working and saving.)

My current one is crap, here's my dream build: System Builder - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core, GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB Strix, 350D Window MicroATX Mid Tower - PCPartPicker. I plan to overclock the 1600 to match the 1600X, but I won't overclock anything else. I'm more than sure that it will crush any 1080p game I throw at it at Ultra settings. I also plan to put Windows 10 for games and Arch Linux for everything else.

Lol have you seen those "gaming pcs" at Best Buy for like $3000 when they have an i5, 970, 8GB of RAM, and no SSD. I bet I could build that for around $800 (if I had the money).

It truly is hilarious to see i5 computers advertised as gaming computers.

Also, you want a machine more powerful than mine (it lags in Minecraft with 8 chunks). I'll share specifications though!

    • 6 GB RAM
    • 1 TB HDD
    • No SSD
    • AMD Phenom II x4 830 Processor
    • 2.8 GHz
    • Running Windows 10
    Quite the beast, right?

That's like my desktop except it has an i3, 650GB hard drive, and Windows 7. My laptop has an i5 and a dedicated GPU (gets around 50fps on a 64x64 texture pack at 16chunks, but plays GTA 5 at 720p 30fps)
