No Plot Restrictions For Mayors

Take away plot restrictions for mayors, as in the amount of plots they can own. I see no reason as to why this shouldn't be allowed. And if it is accepted, I hope it is done soon. Literally takes one little minute to fix.

Yes, I don't like having to be forced to join a nation just so I can bypass the plot limit for a home.

I think he means owning plots by /plot claim, not /t claim. There is no point in nations if it was like this.

Yeah, the maximum number of plots allowed for anyone is 40.

I just don't see where there's a problem that this solves. If you're a mayor, you have the same access to any unowned plot in your town that you have to those you've claimed as your own.

This isn't for that reason. This is because if you are the mayor, you should be allowed to claim all the plots.

I'll be honest. In my case, I have a town on my alt and I cannot access the plots without my alt claiming all the plots and adding me as a friend.

Either way, this shouldn't be added since there is no reason to!

 

Easy: make your alt a co-mayor.

 

People who don't have Alts? There is just about no point against implementing this, so why do you debate against it?

Because nobody has established a valid reason to bother with it.

Also, I question the assertion that it only takes a minute to fix, because I may be wrong, but my understanding is there is one Towny server parm to rule them all, one parm to bind them, and it would require tinkering with the source code to a test for whether a user is a mayor. I would rather see that effort spent on things that are actually useful.

Why this should be implemented (some not my ideas): People don't have Alts they can make co mayor to avoid the plot limit.
If you want to allow a friend to help build your town and you can't own the whole town, they suddenly can't help.
Being able to claim unlimited plots makes private towns massively easier, and you can just add your friends so they can interact with your town.
This can allow the town mayor to make more grinders and such for the town, because mayors can't place spawners on an unowned plot or a plot exclusive or below.
If this is accepted, it won't go straight to the top of the list. If all goes as it should, whatever is next in line to be implemented should be, meaning this should be close to last; so we have time to lose track of this before some one actually gets it implemented
