Motherboard: Asus FM2 A88X Gamer

Case & Power Supply Unit: Cougar spike /w PSU

HDD: HDD 1TB Seagate

CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212X

Monitor: Acer 19.5" LED Monitor

Keyboard & Mouse: A4Tech Keyboard & Mouse Combo

Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro (Licensed)

Nothing special at all, but I chose them since they're perfect for my budget.

 

Don't get an APU and a GPU together. Get a CPU and a GPU.

 

Y tho. That's a pretty good processor for the price, regardless. Although, to a certain extent, I agree.

 

Got a suggestion for an AMD CPU?

 

Close as far a price goes, additional research would need to be done as far as performance. I know the 8350 is compared to the i5 4460, but this one not quite as good.

What kind of games will you be playing?

 

That specific build is good enough for most things at low to medium settings, with older titles at even higher settings. Not a bad build tbh, but with an extra $100, it could be way better as far as performance. A gtx 950 at the least for an extra $30 would be a huge performance booster.

 

With the current build, there won't be a lot of AAA titles. Nor games like Arma and Dayz.

 

True. I would be interested to see how such games would run with the system at the lowest settings, however. It's really quite amazing how little you really need.

 

I've tried playing gta v on my laptop which has pretty much these specs, but SSD and better video card, on absolute lowest settings parts of the map did not render, I was able to play at 30 fps mostly but what does that matter if the buildings around you are invisible? Lol
Arma 2 & 3 are too much, in country parts of the maps I do ok, as soon as I go into a town or city I'm down on 5-10fps.
Dayz standalone simply unplayable, constant 5-10fps.
Fallout 4 surprisingly I can run at 30-50fps, but again, lowest settings...

Everything else that I have tried plays smoothly though, off the top of my head.

I don't remember what my video card is but I will check tomorrow and post it.

 

Laptop CPUs and GPUs do not even compare to desktop ones.
