Phobias

I'm surprised a thread like this doesn't exist yet!
Share, describe, or seek help with your phobias, whether serious or minor. Or complain about how weird they are, for example:

I have Omphalobia (the fear of belly buttons)... It is one of the top most unheard of phobias. It sounds silly, and although mine is a minor case, it can affect others very dramatically. Why? I don't exactly know the trigger, but I have had it since I was around 6. Seeing belly buttons, touching them, touching my own... it makes me want to curl up in a ball. Sorry, but "outie" buttons REALLY freak me out...

Anyone else have weird fears? (that rhymes)

 

Mine is Nyctophobia, it means to be scared of the dark dramatically.

 

Thanatophobia (fear of death).
As much as I say "I want to die." I really don't want to die.
Yup.

I also have a fear of bugs crawling in my ear(s). But, I'm too scared to look up the phobia name in fear there will be a video/photo of it.

 

You may have a mix of entomophobia (insects) and kaciraffphobia (ears)
The only thing not covered by a blanket when I sleep is my eyes, nose, and the top of my head!

I've got...

• Apiphobia (fear of bees)
• Ceraunophobia or Keraunophobia (Fear of thunder and/or lightning) <--- had this till I was 9 years old
  
• Batophobia (fear of being too close to high buildings)
• Emetophobia (Fear of vomiting)
• Monophobia (Fear of being alone)
• Atelophobia (Fear of not being good enough/imperfection)

I think I posted this on another thread, but eh. I also have the fear of not getting any work done (mainly atelophobia). If I don't have it finished, I get heavy anxiety and start to freak out and come up with ways on getting it done.

 

I have a few but the main ones I have are
Pretty much every one Master has above, minus the Atelophobia and Apiphobia.
Hyalophobia- fear of glass. Nah, I'm not like OMG DONT BRING ME NEAR THAT WINDOW!! Its mostly broken glass or sharp objects in general (couldn't find fear or sharp things), they make me feel weak at the knees and I start to panic.
Claustrophobia- One of the most common 'phobias I think, fear of small spaces. Elevators freak me out.
Anxiety-ophobia- Not a real thing, but I do have cases of anxiety sometimes, mostly for irrational reasons. Like, i get scared and anxious because I'm afraid that i will be anxious even though the only reason I'm anxious is because I'm anxious about being anxious and its a baad cycle. Kudos to you if you understood what I was saying!
And apparently I have Omphalobia too! Belly buttons make me cringe.

 

That's the one thing that doesn't make any sense to me. Heck, on the phobias list, there's fear of MEN and WOMEN.

I have emetophobia too!

 

Whenever I get the feeling of throwing up, I get dizzy and start drinking a ton of water.

If somebody throws up on the bus, I lift my feet and curl up and bury my face in my knees, and I get afraid that I myself will throw up

 

Than you'll throw up the water?

 

Nah, I just throw up what I ate earlier sometimes.

I also have agoraphobia, which is the fear of large spaces and crowds. Is it weird that I like small spaces?
