Qwikin's guide to a successful social life on MeepCraft

I figured we needed at least one guide in here and this can be a problem for some so...here goes

Everyone has problems at a new server, you don't have many friends and sometimes it seems incredibly hard to make some, but it's not impossible, here's some things to keep in mind

1. Always respect everyone, namely senior players
The senior players will know more and have more friends than you will, and something most of them appreciate is respect. If you respect them, then they'll respect you, and this goes for everyone, not just senior players. You'll never make friends unless you have the common decency to respect all players.

2. Shout a lot
No one will be able to meet you or get to know you if you don't put yourself out there, so make use of shout in order to make yourself known, a simple "Hey guys" when you come on and a "goodbye" when you leave will at least have people knowing your name. If you see a question in shout you know the answer to, answer it in shout rather than message. If someone's talking about something you're interested in, don't be afraid to just jump into the conversation. Shouting is one of the easiest way to get known

3. Be active on the forums
The forums is the main place for the community to grow together, so get involved in it. Make threads, post on stuff that interests you, just don't spam, no one likes a spammer.

4. DO NOT do not do not do not be a know-it-all
Back to reason 1. a part of that is not being a know-it-all, this is a surefire way to make it to where no one will want to talk to you. If you're posting on a possibly controversial thread, don't just blow off the opinions of others and only say you're right, open yourself up to other opinions, and you might find you share a common interest in differing opinions
