Rank for cits.

Adding on to @Cookies713 's thread, I feel that sits will be a little more noticed if they had a rank before the rest of their name.
So currently it's....
p1: hiiii
p2 [VIP] :Hello

Why not instead
p1 [Citizen] :Hiiii
or
p1 [Drifter]: Hiii

The color of 'citizen' or 'drifter' would be a a gray, preferably dark.

 

Pretty sure this was suggested and accepted like a year ago, but nothing's happened.

 

But... Why? How would it benefit anyone? All it would do is clutter up the chat more for an unnecessary prefix.
And how would it at all get them more noticed if they all had it? Then it would just be the same as it is without a prefix. There is no point.

It's to help the citizens be more noticeable.

 

It won't make them more noticeable if they all have it...

Think of it this way... There's a bunch of ducks you want to be more noticeable. In among all the ranked painted ducks, you paint the citizen ducks black. Now that they're all black, are they more noticeable anyway? No.

A prefix won't do anything, I'm sure there's a solution but this isn't it.

Chat is already cluttered, you can't make it any worse.

The Citizen is less noticeable here, because with no rank his post is farther toward the edge and is overshadowed by the donor's posts.

I used to have the most posts on the forums and like the second most likes. I never got noticed.

It gives them a rank.
the first thing people look at and notice is color - that's why supremes and ults are so benefitted with colored chat and noticed and talked to in shout so much more.
Ranks are obviously colored with bright things, and that helps.
Citizens only have a green name, but everyone has a green name. they don't differ at all.
This, adding the gray, would get them more noticed because it not only lengthens the message slightly, but it adds another unique rank color.

 

All that would happen is that people would just ignore the citizen rank color.

 

Ivs found that people don't ignore cits on purpose. Their chats are simply harder to see, especially when it's scrolling fast.
I'm someone was actually planning on adding this awhile ago but was forgot about.

 

So you've done studies? I think that their chat is quite easy to see actually.
I don't think it has anything to do with the colour of their chat, it's the fact that people make assumptions about them.

It literally took me about 2 hours to notice they now have a prefix today and the same was said by a few current citizens. It doesn't make them stand out anymore than before.

+1 for the removal of the prefix.

 

Completed, let's see how this works before we make any hasty decisions.
