Reopening of denied suggestion (player weather)

I am going to reopen the previous suggestion which was just denied for

because it is possible, at least for toggling stormy/clear weather. The snow/rain depends on the biome that you are in.

Easy as:

player.setPlayerWeather(WeatherType.CLEAR);
player.setPlayerWeather(WeatherType.DOWNFALL);

And the imports are
org.bukkit.WeatherType and
org.bukkit.entity.Player

Sometimes things are denied for other reasons because staff are trying to respect the player. Would you rather them say "This suggestion will not benifit the server enough for us to put time into it".

 

Actually yes. I'd rather the truth than some BS lie.

 

We can do it for a region but not per player. It causes too much lag and is biome dependant. Storm has lightening which will affect the terrain just as snow will.
Mostly it's just not fair to people playing on 2009 laptops

 

You and many others can't handle the truth. Jess_4Ds did this once and was then attacked by many memebrs of the community all because she gave the honest reasoning of why it was denied.

 

I don't think the truth on a minecraft server is gonna traumatize me.

 

We talked with reggles about it and it is more work than it's worth to implement. It effects blocks as well so that's a whole 'nother story. This is denied
