Send me music (and here's an update)

Hey friends, I miss you guys a lot. I think about the community every day and hope you guys are doing well. I've currently been working on the show A Doll's House by Henrik Ibsen, who has become my most favorite playwrights. I work every day on it, and when I'm not, homework is overwhelming me. And I started rehearsals for my next show already, a musical, She Loves Me. My life is never ending rehearsals but I'm having the time of my life.

Anyway, due to my schedule I haven't been able to sit down and listen to music like I usually do. And I want to talk to you guys some more, so send me some tunes! Here are some of my favorites (but yours don't have to be like mine):

why a dolls house

 

it is a play about realizing your true self in a world that doesn't allow you to. it's about transformation, about self actualization, about the love of yourself, about the rights of women, about the rights of other oppressed groups, and about the fight for all of these things. everything ibsen does is intentional in that play. you can track costumes, props, set, stage directions, and sound that follow this same trajectory of unveiling and realization. i dont know a single play that's more relevant from the realism period.

v good to 'unwind' with. also the movie is super cute and amazing (a little slow but hey) check it out

 

feminism, i know, we read it in lit. was kind of bothersome if you ask me. what ever his name is yells at her then receives the letter saying they're not screwed anymore but she realizes that he only cares for himself really and not for her. Much fun must I say.

 

i enjoy pretty much all kinds of music but if it should be something related to yours it would be;
i like these because they have a good tune
i also really like this one (sorry i love music from the 80's don't blame me)
