Voting Bonus

It would be nice to give a bonus, perhaps 100,000 meebles to all players that vote everyday for a month straight. It would surely boost adherence to voting. A lesser amount is completely fine as well, I was just throwing out a figure thats around a 40% bonus.

I think it would be beneficial on both ends, it would foster a player base that actively used the forums and also maximize the money spent on advertisements. There's also the extra meebles though....

 

Well, this would be a good idea but it is adding meebles into the economy which is not a good idea. If that wasn't a problem then for sure, go ahead

 

You can get about 248k if you vote everyday, if that's not bonus enough I don't know what is. -1

 

Fair, I was just pointing out the fact not that many people vote and it doesn't maximize the amount of money spent on advertisements.

 

I believe there something already being implemented for top voter, so if you vote all 30 days, I'm sure you'll win this.

 

10mill is worth 3k votes towards the server don't ya think? Not to mention a player can easily make 4-5k a day, from the server,for 30 days and make past 100k. Since our current goal as a server is increasing the player base it would be a small hit to the already broken Eco we currently have. Also players going for this goal of 30 votes might miss a day in the last week or so. Voting everyday isn't that easy. You also mention "we don't need this" but we do need players and if increasing voting incentive raises amount of votes that would equal to player gain.

 

I'd say that voting would increase player count in the short term, but long-term player retention would suffer as the economy would be destroyed, because of the influx of cash into the eco.

I'd like to see something else (maybe a custom item?) be implemented for top voters.

 

The current high staff team care so little about this being an economy server and more towards a towny server.

But towards your "economy would be destroyed" comment 10mill added each month means 100 players would need to succeed in voting everyday for 1 month to equal 10mill added considering our peak times is around 100 players there is no way this goal will be completed. From how I see it we shouldn't even be looking at the long term we should be focusing on the short term.

Maybe offer a super-god tool that can't be /fix'd like an eff 6 or one of the glass picks like ult shop.

 

Custom items and custom currencies fix Eco. Too bad the current high staff team wants to put custom items in the /warp shop at a certain price instead of them benign earned and having the community decide the values on them.

 

Tbh having some cool things as prizes would encourage more votes
more votes = more players
I'm all up for more tools in shop. The special tools are neat. But having a point and a prize to being the top voter would make me set an alarm ever 24 hours to vote. People would have more reason to vote.

 

You want to increase player count and mini games activity while also bettering the Meepcraft economy? Take all of the items they just put into the /warp shop and spread them out as moderately expensive prizes that you can only purchase with infected/halo/ctf/etc currencies/coins and also make the currencies non tradable but allow the items to be traded/sold for what ever the seller wishes to. This idea gives players something to earn and work for while accomplishing many problems Meepcraft currently has.
