Vshop tax

I don't think Supreme+ should have to pay ANY tax at all and maybe lower other taxes for other ranks. At supreme+, you don't get to many new perks so no tax for Vshop. Also, 5% is still a lot. If you are going to sell something for 100k that's 5k. Or if you wanted to sell like 1,000 diamonds for 500 meebles. That is a lot of money. In meepnetworks I believe we didn't have tax back then. So why should we have it now if we are trying to bring back stuff that was in meepnetworks.

If not supreme+ maybe ultimate?

 

Hm, I think that Elite+ should be able to have no seller tax. Supreme is $160 USD. I don't think any parents are willing to take $160 they worked hard for and put it in a game. $80 is enough.

 

Elites already have more than enough. Some parents do actually spend money on this game.

Taxes should stay for all ranks. I like how much of an equalizer the new market is. Pull taxes for higher ranks and watch as the market is dominated by high ranks only.

 

In what way are we trying to bring back stuff from MeepNetworks? The style of this VShop is almost identical to that of the one that was back in Old Meep (almost identical as in everything except tax and gui). It is not something that is solely from MeepNetworks, and we are not necessarily trying to bring back stuff from older versions of the server.

Also, I completely agree with this. The current VShop is fair; Supremes and Ultimates get a lot of perks that already give them advantages, so asking them to pay the same tax as everyone else is good.

Not to mention that the tax, coupled with the item limit, does a lot to prevent things like people using the VShop as a storage system, people constantly undercutting others, and more problems that were specifically meant to be fixed with this shop.

 

I think the outcome would be that only the higher ranks would end up listing items. They would have an immediate 5% pricing advantage and this would only result in the rich getting richer whilst removing selling chances from the lower ranks. The current perk of not having to pay purchasing tax is much fairer and I believe is enough.

It could also lead to abuse as free sorted storage similar but better than /chest. Simply by putting a silly price on the item and cancelling the sale instruction when you want to use the item

As this is an economy based server it would effectively be pay to win.

 

The whole reason the tax was put on was to keep players from making ridiculous prices so they would have to pay some of it, and it was meant to make sure players didn't use it as a virtual chest.

 

-1 from me. Even if I was supreme, this would make people sell an uncommon item for expensive. The tax was ultimately made so you don't overly price your items.

-1 the purpose for the tax is to stop people putting ridiculous prices as a joke. Even if you want the no tax, there will be a person of that rank or higher that will do something like that.
