Weird

1 ) If you see on forums there is a "Best Posts" options next to create a new thread. Many of the top, most-liked posts in "Discussions" are staff resignations. What is up with this?

2) How is your day/night/week/weekend going?

 

1) Even though a whole bunch of the best posts are resignations, they go into a lot of detail about their positive (and sometimes negative) experiences here. To me I just think of it as another thing that people online like.
2) Pretty tiring, lots of homework and preparation for competitions. Other than that, great!

 

Staff resignations always get the most drama because staff members are seen as divine celebrities and for some reason it is a really big deal when they decide to resign from this voluntary position. I mean, 90% of staff members only apply for the coloured text and because they want that sense of power and popularity that a tag beside your name gives you. And when these people fall, it's like seeing Adele fall out your window so of course you need to make a big deal about it.

Since these staff members are so grand and renowned, anything they say will get seen, especially if the title contains "resignation." I mean, I haven't given a butthole about this server in years and I still get clickbaited by these posts of epiphanies and revelations about stuff that made myself resign.

It's the same reason you will click on a thread by Fuzzlr.

And I guess the frequency of demotions/resignations are only because there was one goofy outburst of reality that became exposed in the staff chat and some smarter players are just talking off the rose coloured glasses about it.
