    Hey guys
About a month ago, as some of you know, I created a petition to give minors more rights in the business world. I may possibly be going around my neighborhood and asking people about it to get an idea of what people think. I was wondering what I should say to them when I first start talking. Should I say my name, then that I'm an entrepreneur (or investor), and then what my petition is about? Also, what should I wear? I normally wear a polo and nice pants. Should I wear a dress shirt, dress pants, and a tie or just stick to my normal clothes?
    Thanks, guys.
@_EggsBenedict_ and @Trexy I know you guys are pretty smart, help me out?

    1 - know your product
Know exactly what your policies are and all the specific details
    2 - dress a position above
Dress as if you were some big shot. Since you're a minor, you're fighting an uphill battle to be taken seriously. Wear the nicest thing that is appropriate. If it's 110 degrees don't wear a suit, but dress as nicely as plausible (to appear mature)
    3 - know the consumer
Who are you asking? Rich people? People who know you? Other investors? I'd recommend finding some investing/entrepreneurs forums to post this. Also asking richer "white collar" workers will likely prove more effective than asking "blue collar" workers.
    4 - act like it's an interview.

That's extremely vague. What rights are minors lacking and how will your petition make a difference?

I agree with ekjhgekuie, what do you want to change and what would you do to contribute to the benefit of these people's rights?

Also, while I like your idea of going around the neighborhood, I also suggest visiting local businesses where a lot of underage people work. You could ask them what they feel they may or may not be lacking in the business world. That should give you a good start for what your petition really stands for and what you want to argue for. With regard to asking people what they think, I'd address that by mentioning your argument for giving minors more rights in the business world, and how you want to understand the perspective of those who are subject to these possible.. inequalities?

I'd probably stick to normal clothes, but something a little more dressy would work. It's important to maintain an approachable appearance, especially if you speak with these minors. Teenagers will probably give you better information on what they think about the subject if they feel comfortable, and able to relate with you. You probably should say your name in a proper greeting, and mention your research on the subject too.

Shave three days before so while you aren't baby faced you don't have the awkward teen mustache.

If you don't already shave I suggest Harry's. Reasonable cost, high quality blades.

Thanks for all the replies guys, I made a small paragraph to fit on the page vaguely explaining my cause. I will explain it a lot more in-person because I just needed a small quick paragraph about it to put on the signature page.
    Here it is:

My name is Adam Brian and I’m a 13-year-old entrepreneur and investor. I am looking to get support to give minors more rights in the business world. Rather that be having more leeway in investing, or being able to have a bank account with fewer restrictions, I think we can make a change. I hope this petition can give minors more rights and let them be able to act on their entrepreneurial ideas and business ventures. Thank you for taking the time to sign this petition.
I know that it isn't great although I literally typed it up in like 3 minutes so I can definitely change things.
    Very funny.

    you need an editor.

I don't believe going door to door will work, people hate people showing up at their door with a clipboard. You'll have to find more like-minded people in a more efficient way (internet). Make a club at school? Connect with an adult on campus that will help you get more resources. A club is a much better way to start a movement.

I think starting an online petition would be the way to go. I would first try to find someone with a decent social media presence to help you promote the petition. Perhaps there are some online groups about this topic already?
