Yanny vs. Laurel

Hey Meep!

Today I heard an interesting audio clip that is similar the the Gold & White or Black & Blue dress debate, and I wanted to share it with you all.

See whether you hear "Yanny" or "Laurel" in the attached video. Or perhaps you hear something else?

I hear Laurel until the video is either sped up or slowed down, then I hear Yanny. However my 4 year old daughter alternates between hearing both

 

I can only hear Yanny

 

I only heard Laurel 4 times

 

I hear Yanny regardless of the speed.

 

I hear gary ?!

Stop it... I heard yanny and my mom heard laurel. And while I was showing my mom the video i had roxy and soap on discord and roxy said she hears yanny and she use to hear laurel... uhhhh wtf

I don't understand how anyone can hear Yanny when it's clearly Laurel!

 

I'm hearing both, different combinations of the two each time I play the clip.

 

I have a feeling this video is gonna turn into the same issue we had three years ago with the White and Gold / Blue and Black dress.

i watched a video on this, quite interesting, in the video the narrator says that people with 'older' ears tend to hear Laurel whereas 'younger' would hear Yanny

The higher quality audio device you listen to the sound on the more you should hear Laurel. On my earpods I hear yanny but on my gaming headset I hear Laurel.
