When did you join Meepcraft? July 2012
Introduction: Hello Meepers, my name is GroovyGrevous and I am a 16 year old who lives in Greece. I’m currently in the second year of high school and even though I don’t really like it, I have been studying more frequently recently. Some of my hobbies and out-of-school activities are: private Math lessons, playing video games, doing sports and (of course) watching anime. Even though I’m lazy, I’m really athletic and for the last 3 years I have been part of a Freestyle Wrestling team, a sport that I really enjoy. Other than sports, I also enjoy reading books (and manga) and listening to music.
I joined MeepCraft in the middle of July 2012, and was instantly taken back by the large player count and all the things to do. I made friends and joined towns, but had to quit for almost a year because of computer issues. After I came back, I joined the town of Premede in Beta, owned then by the Helper teakizz99. He and some other close friends of mine managed to persuade me to apply, which I finally did.
This time I decided to apply again because I had missed helping, and realized that hopefully, if I work hard I can make a positive difference on the server.
Why should you be Helper? -Experience
I have been in MeepCraft for quite a long time and I have seen the progression of the server as time goes by. I have experienced many events such as the reign of CrueltyGaming and the fall of Old Meep, the creation of Gamma and the soft reset, the blacklisting of the server and of course, the recent complete reset.
Additionally, until about a month ago, I was a member of the staff team for more than a year and earned my way up to SuperMod; meaning I have experience that will hopefully prove of some value to the staff team.
-Involvement
Even though my In-Game activity is not that great due to me studying, I am very active on the forums, trying to participate effectively in any interesting discussions going on. During my last run as a staff member, I was able to participate in the many community events we had, as well as the staff meetings the team had that I was able to attend.
-Work Ethic
Despite me being the complete opposite In-real-life (I get distracted easily), as Meepcraft points out my interest I am always concentrated on what I should do at the moment. When it comes to doing something that I am passionate about, I will put all my effort into the task and make sure that the job is done well- and helping others is one of the things I really enjoy.
-Dedication
While I haven’t played on many servers, Meep is the only one that has managed to hook me like that, and especially for that long amount of time. The server is truly amazing and the community is awesome and unique.
-Patient
I can take a lot of slack from players. During my time as staff I always tried to keep a cool head and lighten the mood when needed through my jokes and comments.
I believe that when I am harassed I can easily put up with it, as well as more immature players making, well. immature jokes and such. For example, once, there was a player who constantly kept swearing and ban evading. However, I managed to chat with him and persuaded him to stop.
What are your weaknesses? -Immaturity
Despite me constantly working on this, I believe I still say some immature things sometimes, and tend to joke with friends a lot.
-Discord
Even though I have been working on this for quite a while, talking in English can be proven difficult to me; I get nervous if there are more than a couple of people in the same channel I am.
Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: In my time as staff I made many friends, both from the community and the staff team, but for reasons I would rather not mention here but I will address if necessary, I decided to resign and take a very small break of semi-activity.
Please post any comments and constructive criticism below, all feedback will be taken into consideration!
If you wish to contact me you can either start a conversation with me here, message me on Discord or add my skype (grevous2004).
Thank you for taking the time to read my application!

When did you join Meepcraft? May 2014
Introduction: Hello, I’m Versus, but most of you will know me as Cherrykit (or Cherry) and I live in Germany. I’m in 10th grade, however as I don’t really enjoy school I focus my free time on other things. I am in a club where I conduct experiments for various projects, I also like drawing, learning java and playing video games. I enjoy doing sports, however I do badly at most of the ones I try. Luckily, I found out I love swimming when I was 3 years old and have been learning how to swim and have been training ever since. About a year ago I started taking dancing lessons as well. But the thing I love most of all is music, I spend as much time as possible listening to music, playing piano and clarinet or dancing.
I joined Meepcraft in May 2014, and found myself hooked instantly. More than a year later, from July to December 2015, I took a 6 month break from playing Meep in-game. This was because I had to get used to 10th grade, which is the first grade of the “Oberstufe” (which is similar to high school). As I have now managed to balance school and my online time I should not have to leave again.
I currently spend most of the time I am online in kitpvp or in terrarium.
Why should you be Helper? Experience:
As I have actively played on Meep for one and a half years now, I am familiar with the commands and rules. One of the most important experiences I have made was being the mayor of a town for 3 months, as this greatly improved my communication skills and as I spent a lot of time interacting and helping new players. Because I pvp fairly often I also have some experiences with hackers, which could come in useful as staff.
Even though I have never been staff before, I am eager to learn all I need to know to be the best helper I can.
Work ethic:
Once I have set my mind to something, I will make sure I do it as well as I can and I won’t give up until I’m done. This can make me a bit stubborn at times, but I believe I will be able to use this as staff to help as many people as I can. I will occasionally get distracted, but as I enjoy helping people this shouldn’t be the case.
Dedication:
I am completely dedicated to Meep, as it is the first server I played on and everyone welcomed and helped me straight away. Throughout my time on Meep I have been surprised by the generosity and kindness of the other players on many occasions. As staff I hope I will be able to pass this impression on to the new players of this server and to anyone else who needs help or assistance.
Involvement:
Even though my in-game time is limited due to school and my parents’ restrictions I try my best to get on for at least an hour or two every day, and I check on forums multiple times every day even though I do not post very often. I also try my best to get on teamspeak now and again, but I don't talk much.
What are your weaknesses? Activity:
My in-game activity is not the best, it is limited by my internet being blocked in the evenings as well as by school and my other free time activities. This is something I cannot change, but I will make the best of the time I am online.
Shyness:
As I am a shy person I find it hard to talk in a big group of people. Because of this I prefer talking in local chat and not in global chat. Regarding teamspeak, I prefer listening to people than talking myself. I should still be able to do my job as helper, as I have no problem talking with people when I have to.
Teamspeak:
Even though I try to be active on teamspeak regularly, I often end up going to a channel with no one else in it or only listening to the conversations. Ever since I rejoined Meep I haven’t been on teamspeak much, but I am currently doing my best to get on and talk to people more often. If I am needed on teamspeak as staff, being able to get on will not be an issue.

Introduction: Hey guys and gals. My name is Peyton or you know me ingame as Summrs. Im 18 years old and I live at home with my mom and dog. I live in the Chicagoland area and I plan on going to school this next semester and getting my gen eds done in a junior college. My goal is to complete junior college basic classes then attend a university and major in accounting. Ive been working at still work at Buffalo Wild Wings as an expo. I enjoy working there because of how friendly the people are but it is extremely stressful so I do not plan on being there long. Usually after work I drive home and get on meep and ts and hang out with people on there. I also enjoy watching tv series' on Netflix and playing other games like league of legends. But other then computer, I work on staying in shape by riding my bike and playing basketball in the gym.
Why should you be Helper? I want to be helper for many reasons. I really wasn't sure the best way of explaining this so I decided to make a list of reasons why I would be a positive asset to the staff team.
Activity- I am extremely active on the server during peek hours of players and even during the late night to early mournings when very few members are on. The most important thing I have accomplished with my activity is being able to talk to and meet many of the members of the meepcraft community.
Experience- No, I do not have any minecraft staff experience, but I have experience working with a team at my restaurant. In my position at bdubs I am the only communication between the kitchen and servers which has taught me how to be apart of a team.
Server knowledge- When it comes to ingame commands or plugins I know a great amount. I would love to help teach new and old players commands and ways around the server. I also have extensive knowledge in the meepcraft eco which is something I have enjoyed to be a factor in, within the community.
Leadership- I see the staff members of meepcraft to be people you can look up to and go to them for advice not just in the game but out too. Many members look up to the things I do in the server and I would like the opportunity to set a positive example to the members of the server.
The thing I love the most is to make someone happy and that is what I strive to do in everything I do in life. I would like to get a better opportunity at helping other members by becoming staff of the server/community I love the most.
What are your weaknesses? I have had problems in the past with depression and anxiety that I don't care to get into, but they have impacted my life and people around me.
I also have a very blunt personality always speaking my mind sometimes when it is not the best time.
Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: Thanks for reading my application feel free to leave any comments down below. Introduction: Hey meepers! I am Bluapol, but you can call me Blu. I like swimming, hearing music, computers, and science. My first language is spanish, and I'm learning french. Lately I've been getting more into video editing stuff and learning by myself some cool tricks. Unlike many of you, my school just ended, and I have a lot of free time. I really like using this time to edit videos or play with my friends. I will be going on a short vacation soon, but I don't think it will affect my activity. I'll stay in touch with meep via MineChat.
Why should you be on our Media team? It all started when I heard of "The Media Team" announcement. I felt inspired and made my first server trailer (), which had a lot of positive feedback. I waited for a response, but it never came. I thought that the "Media Rank" would only be for youtubers. However, I kept making videos. Two days ago I realised there was a Media App format :O. I told myself to give it a try, and here I am
Ok now that the story ended, here is why I should be in this team.
I enjoy making videos. I also have a lot of experience making and uploading them to youtube. In addition, what I like the most is attracting new players to the server. Not only they are fun to watch, but also will make the server grow. One thing, which I am good at, is sync-ing the video to the music. It makes it sound and look better. However, this edits take some time to be made. Currently, they take about 1-3 hours. Good thing is, time is not an issue .
Editting Programs:
√ Final Cut Pro X
√ Motion 5
What is the main platform that player can go and publicly view your content on, and what is your typical content comprised of? YouTube is the place where I upload the videos.

Intro:
I’ve enjoyed every second I’d gotten to spend as a Meepcraft Helper. There are so many new players that I have met and had the chance to speak to. You guys are some of the most intriguing, hilarious, smart, and determined individuals I have ever known. Each and everyone one of you inspires me every day, in more ways than just one. And it’s this inspiration that keeps me coming back; that keeps me wanting to do my job to the best of my abilities.
So this is my chance to thank you all: from the random citizen that helps me harvest my sugarcane for 5K to the Supermod that deals with all of my excessive questions. Thank you to the players that jump around a small area and chat about amazingly useless things. Thank you to the players that take their time to invent new ways for this place to be more unique and enjoyable. Thank you to the miners that basically run the eco; and the builders that make plain areas of land into unique towns. Thank you to the players that take time to appreciate each other; and the players that have all commended me on my job.
I appreciate each of you and I’m so glad that I’ve gotten to spend the last 12 weeks as a staff member of this wonderful server. I look forward to adding onto that number and to having more experiences with each of you!!
Why Should I be a Mod?
I am definitely ready to accept the role and responsibilities of a Moderator. I have learned so much from my last 12 weeks as a helper. I believe I am to a point that I am basically performing moderation duties on a daily basis and can keep performing those duties for the foreseeable future. Therefore I’ve decided that my capabilities would be better utilized as a higher position in the staff team.
I’ve mastered proficiency with prism commands. I can manipulate prism searches to refine my results and increase the efficiency of modreq-case time. My first few days as helper were spent training with prism: I bought 4 random plots in beta and set up numerous scenarios which I would then try to recapture with prism results. This proved highly successful for learning the prism system intuitively.
I’m able to handle each and any modreq with confidence. Even 4 weeks into my Helper position I was struggling with the confidence to investigate hacking reports. As of now I am fully confident in my abilities to identify and record hacking infractions. Recently there hasn’t been a case that I’m unable to give an appropriate investigation and response. Additionally I’ve been training on active tasks in-game such as identifying and catching x-ray users as well as others forms of hacked clients throughout the server.
Aside from passively handling modreqs I’ve been urged to take more dynamic roles in the server development. I’ve started work on 2 server projects (listed on Trello) that I believe are manageable and good additions to the server. One of which is a project which I am assisting Shain, another I am currently handling on my own. I enjoy getting new ideas from players, and especially with suggestions on the forums: I like to collaborate ideas between my fellow players and staff members. These projects often take time but with more experience I will be able to focus more attention on server development ideas and possibly help get more amazing things implemented onto Meep.
I’m a good leader and role model for new Helpers. I believe that as a moderator I can help aid in the management of the staff team. I want players to know that I am definitely a person they can go to for in-depth support and guidance. I would have never made it as a staff member if it wasn’t for inviting and wise mods to guide me along the way. I want to be that guide and I want to have a greater impact in our overall community culture.
Weaknesses:
Identifying the type of hacks used, in both reported player videos and my own observations, have been difficult. I believe the best way to identify a hack is to identify which hack it is; I’ve been trying to learn what distinct hacks look/act like but it’s been a difficult journey. I still refer to my fellow staff for hacking vids recorded by other players and they will often be kind enough to point out the hacks used, if any. I’m starting to get the hang of it but it’s still one of my biggest weaknesses.

Introduction: I absolutely love ice cream; I love every aspect of it, from its unique body and texture to the plethora of flavors available. I love the flavor varieties that ice cream can encompass, the bitter-sweetness of black raspberry with chocolates, to the tang of a mango peach sorbet. Never quite the picky one – I can even appreciate the deceptively simple yet surprisingly delicious vanilla ice cream.
As a youth I thought I was an expert in all areas related to dessert. When my family went out to eat I would patiently sit through appetizers and wholly eat every last bite of my main course, all the while knowing that a new and possibly delectable dessert awaited me at the end. I would try cheesecakes, shortcakes, pies, and my favorite: ice cream. With each bite the fate of the restaurant would be held on a string; regardless of how well everything else went, the dessert would determine whether it would pass or fail in my expectations. Often I found these desserts to be the same mundane replicas of each other; and hardly exquisite enough for the hefty price attached. So, I resolved that in order to achieve the best dessert experience I would need to get creative; I’d have to make my own desserts.
This resolution lead me to an important discovery for myself; I love creativity. With each ‘genius’ idea for the nights dessert I would find myself excited; excited to devour the finished product, and as equally excited to use my resources as far as my imagination would allow. As I anxiously combined vanilla, fruits, chocolate, sugar, and creams to make my ‘not-so-perfect’ creations I imagined myself as a Van Gogh or Picasso. Each dessert was a blank canvas for me to express my artistic aptitudes; adding color to the palette through a mix of ingredients. I felt as though I could surpass any flavor limitations by creatively devising my own. Even when my ideas failed (as they mostly did) I would learn something more about both cooking and myself alike.
Now, as a young adult, I can visualize the creativity in all of my endeavors. When I write prose I form a dancing assemblage of words and phrases all eager to mingle. In mathematics, where formulas and theorems can often be manipulated into new ideas, creativity is the driving force for solving old problems and understanding new ones. Creativity is a factor that turns the mundane into a living entity- unique all its own. Creativity grants me the freedom escape from a monotonous world to one where I create the rules, letting my imagination run free.
*for a more basic intro please read: http://meepcraft.com/threads/deljikhos-helper-application.28820/
Why should you be Helper? Why? That has always been the question that drives the human race. “Why do birds fly? Why is the sky blue? Why should Deljikho become a helper?” These are all good questions and I think I can answer at least one of them for you guys. I believe I am completely competent to perform well on the staff team; I have the Creativity, Experience, Respect, Patience, Stability, and an Aptitude for Learning to do a good job. I believe these as well as other characteristics would make me a suitable candidate for the role of ‘Helper’ and an asset to the staff team in general.
• Experience – I was a helper on this server for a bit over 2 months, almost one year ago. In those 2 months I learned a multitude of new stuff, from staff commands to skype norms. Much of what I had to learn was technical, but the most important aspects were personal. Two important aspects of that included: how to work as a team member, and how to properly interact with players. Initially I hadn’t realized how much of a team the staff really is, I wasn’t ready for it at first yet embraced it whole heartedly. I know how to work with other staff members to solve conflicts, to discuss issues and resolutions, and to appreciate each other for the help that is constantly being given.
When I was a helper last I was always exploring creative ways to perform hawkeye commands. I would try to find the limitations and dimensions that the staff tools could provide. I was able to use this to perform some ‘Mod’ duties as a Helper. I was exploring how to catch x-rayers, duplicators, and basically see how far I could encompass my abilities. Some cases involve creative thinking, searching for clues that may not be obvious or even seem likely; finding ways to ensure that a proper job is done 100% of the time.
Modreqs are an important part of the staff job; and I’ve learned how to handle them extremely well, in my opinion. From the introduction ‘til they have confirmed that every one of their needs/questions is satisfied, I ensure that my modreqs are thorough and pleasant for the player. I make sure that I’m not idle or playing around when there are modreqs waiting in queue.
• Professionalism - I try to be professional in everything that I do. I believe that anything worth doing is definitely worth doing right. When dealing with modreqs, player reports, or anything of the sort, I ensure that I am thorough and precise. When a penalty is administered I give exact calculations on refunds to be given and proper punishments issued. If possible I check the rules 2 or 3 times to make sure that no mistakes are made. I made a habit of following Andrew's advice to always file a report before issuing a punishment, in case any last second mistake had been made.
• Friendliness and Respect – These are two qualities that I strive to show towards every person I meet, whether it be online or in person. I treat all players with fairness, and equally, no matter what the circumstances may be. I believe the staff represent Meep, and I have no doubt that I can help make that representation as a Courteous/Helpful/Professional community.
• Patience – I have no trouble with being a patient person. This is to avail as a staff member; there are often players that need more guidance than others. I can take my time slowly walking players towards steps that will help them with their problems. I’m also never ‘in a rush’ I try to remain patient and calm during most task, which allows me to remain focused and collected
• Stability – Last time I was a Helper I had to resign due to work/school overload. I had started an internship, which led to a part-time 2nd job. I wasn’t able to devote the hours to Meep that I felt was necessary so I resigned. Now my 2nd job has turned into my only full-time employment, coupled with a few classes. I have a very stable schedule and don’t intend on it to change for months. This means that I finally have the necessary time to be a dutiful staff member, as well as the foresight to know that I can remain a dutiful staff member for much longer.
• Aptitude for Learning – I’m very eager to learn new things. I was intimidated when I had to learn Hawkeye, but now I anticipate the challenge of learning Prism. I have no doubt that I can learn all of the Prism commands efficiently and in-depth. I’m very adaptable to new changes, and am ready to embrace any changes that may have been implemented in the year that I’ve been away from staff.
What are your weaknesses? There is nothing wrong with having a weakness: Even the Greek Hero Achilles had a weakness. The difference lies in knowing your weaknesses and the best way to match your strengths to overcome them. Like Achilles I have some weaknesses, unlike Achilles they probably won’t get me killed by a Sun God.
• Teamspeak – This is my biggest weakness. I know how to use teamspeak, I know enough to help other players guide teamspeak, and I know that some of the best ways to get help is through teamspeak. My problem with teamspeak is that I share a house with 2 other roommates. Between the 3 of us there is almost always guests over, music playing, or something loud and annoying going on. Because of this I don’t think I’ll be on teamspeak very frequently, but I am looking into alternative solutions. For instance I can keep my teamspeak user logged on so that way if anyone has important matters they can simply poke/message me and I can retreat to my room and reply to them personally. I’ll also definitely be logged onto teamspeak and actively participating in group discussions anytime my roommates are away, whether it be for an hour or a weekend.
• Prism – I know absolutely nothing about Prism, I’ve heard that there’s over 30,000 commands and I’ll need to learn them all from the basics. I know this isn’t a big problem since I’ll be given a crash course in commands but I would like to state that my current Prism knowledge is 0.
• Immaturity – Generally I am a very mature player. I know when to be serious and handle my priorities. My roommates actually call me “Debby Downer and the Fun Police” because I’m a bit too serious in real life (and it sounds like an awesome band name). However on Meepcraft, mainly in /g, I can act immature sometimes, I believe it’s arisen from my seriousness irl and my escape to meepcraft allowing me to break down the ‘too strict’ stigma. I don’t think this has even been a problem for anyone but I’ve realized it and I know that sometimes it comes in excess. I’m ensuring that my feigned immaturity doesn’t conflict with any serious duties I have and that it won’t be very frequent.
• Activity – I’m not even sure if this is a weakness but it’s best to be informative now. On my absolutely busiest days I should still be able to log in game for 3-4 hours. Last time I was Helper I was able to log in for 12+ but unfortunately my schedule doesn’t allow for that anymore. The majority of my days let my play between 4-6 hours throughout the week days, while weekends are completely free. This doesn’t really seem like much to me but I compare that to my 12 hour days last time. And, as stated above, I’m very much more stable this time around. I’ll spend my limited in-game hours trying to be as dutiful as possible and almost always have access to Skype and Forums, even if I’m at work or in class I will have forums/skype chat enabled and useable.

Introduction
So how is it best to start this, well lets re-introduce myself. My name is liberty, however most of you will know me by my in-game name bass_flow. I am a big fan of The Hunger Games trilogy and I love to read, but I hope by now that some of you know that .
I have been up and down and up and down with staff these past few months contemplating whether to rejoin staff or not. Some of it involved me even becoming a staff hater, and I am sorry I have felt that way. Now I have reached a decision to try once again to become the staff member I once was, maybe even better. But you are probably sitting there now thinking what went wrong, so lets go way back to the beginning where I made one of the biggest mistakes that I will always regret.
Why?
It all started in about June/July, I'm sure a lot of you heard about the mass spawner duping and how it brought millions into the eco, well I was involved in that. And no I didn't dupe, what I did was different, to put it plainly I mislead a lot of players. One of the dupers told me about how he was getting so much money, I was very unsure about whether the method was legal or not which was stupid really considering I was a staff member. So I took the problem to MrsMegan, I'm not sure if these are the exact words but she told me that there was nothing in the rules about it being illegal but she herself would class it as illegal. I told this to the player, however I was still unsure and intended on speaking to Sirrr_pig. Unfortunately I never got round to doing that, and instead the whole thing came out. A huge amount of players were banned and both myself and Megan were demoted, I blame a lot of this on myself.
I still wanted to help people so I stayed as helper for about a month, while Megan left staff entirely. While being helper I can quite rightly say that I couldn't function properly, I was not living up to my helper duties. This was partially down to my demotion, however a lot of it was school. When it finally came to it, leaving staff seemed like the best option, so I went with that.
So here we are now, and I have finally decided to reapply again.
I feel that I would make a great addition to the team once again as I have 10 months of experience of being a staff member on meepcraft. Of course a lot has changed since I have left, however I am a quick learner and with the correct guidance I could soon be back on track.
I also thoroughly enjoy helping other people, in fact I never have stopped loving it. It is one of the reasons that is pushing me to apply again. I think that being helper again will enable me to once again enjoy doing what I love but also bringing smiles to peoples faces when they have been helped.
When I want to get something done I do it, and won't stop until its done. This has been shown in the past times that I have been a staff member. So I think that great dedication and work ethic could help me hugely as a staff member and I will aim to do as much as I humanly can.
Finally I feel that I have a rather mature attitude towards most things and I think that this would help with being a staff member. This is because most situations need you to be mature and without that maturity I believe you will get no where.
Weaknesses
Now on to the weaknesses. However much I wish there were no weaknesses, there always are. First of my inactivity. I have been hugely inactive of these past few weeks, on teamspeak and in-game. This is because of multiple exams that have been going on and I have been needing to put a lot of time towards them. However exams won't occur again until about may time, and I want to try and see how I can cope with being a staff member whilst also doing school work. If I do become a staff member and at any time feel way to much stress than I should be, it will probably mean I would have to leave. Secondly I think that my teamspeak inactivity still isn't great even if I have had exams. This is because I lack a lot of confidence, however this is something I would really like to try and overcome and it might be made possible if I became a staff member.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I feel that taking me on as a staff again would be great for both parties. I would be able to make up for my wrong doing and staff would gain a hopefully a great staff member. Thank you very much if you took the time to read this, I'm sure It took me a lot longer to write that it did for you to read this. However I look forward to reading your comments and one more thing, have a great Christmas everyone!
P.s Please note that I do go on holiday on Monday, so I will not be on for an entire week. -

Introduction: My irl name is Grace, and I’m a 14-year-old devoted Meepian (it’s a word now). I live in Victoria, Australia, and I am currently in Year 8. Being 14, I have just begun to choose electives and I plan to go into Finance and Economics. I’m not what you would call the girly girl. I’m not into boys, or makeup or fashion. Possibly the best the best foods on earth are waffles or chocolate (or chocolate waffles... now there’s an idea), but if someone even mentions broccoli... moving on, I also enjoy crepes (with nutella. Must have nutella) and sugary stuff. I am teaching myself Tolkien Elvish from an online course (what it's interesting), and I learn Chinese and French at my school. I play tennis on weekends and I sing in the school choir on Thursdays. I also recently started playing oboe, and I’ve played (but recently stopped) violin for 6 years. I also have played keyboard for 2 years, but I stopped playing that too, and I enjoy working with technology. As my school has a technology elective for Year 9, I’ve chosen to take that route. I found MeepCraft while I was in my noob days, browsing through server lists after I finally figured out how to join a server (long story). When I first logged on my original account (now inactive) it was the early days of 2013 and Meep was flourishing. There were always heaps of players online, and I remember being astonished by the size of the economy and the amount of players online. It was a new thought to me, and it took me a while to get used to, although money was never really a big focus for me. I found it was an incredible server, and I remember being overawed by the thought of getting a rank. I joined my first town, but left that and have since been in the process of switching towns every month or so, for various reasons. I had always had the notion that multiplayer would be boring, and indeed it was in the first server I joined, but since MeepCraft I have rarely played on singleplayer. I am currently a co-mayor in both Alpha and Beta, and I am almost always on forums.
Why:
Experience: To be honest, I haven’t been staff before. But I have been a part of MeepCraft for about 20 months, if memory serves, and I have watched as the server moves along. I may not be an old Meepian from the days of CG or MN, but I have played for a long time, and have been trusted with positions of responsibility in almost every town I have joined. I have been a mayor twice, a co-mayor six times and an assistant four times. Being a staff member of a town means you will often find players joining their first town, not knowing commands and getting confused. I myself know the feeling of being a new player in a town, which gives me the experience of how to counter that feeling and how to make a player feel welcome. My brother and his friends also started a small server once, and though it we never really put out the IP, I brought my knowledge of commands to our vanilla server, and was trusted with OP and many things. I supervised the building of the spawn, I introduced them to commands and I would always give them tips when needed or when they were confused.
Work Ethic: Having played many instruments over my school years, performances have been frequent. This year I played in my school’s Year 7-9 concert in the Year 8 Band, and I had only recently switched from the Keyboard ensemble. I had 2 weeks to learn a complex piece for my oboe, and being the only oboe, you tend to stand out if you’re not playing. Therefore, I had many hours of practice to put in, and I will take the same attitude if I am a Helper. It may be hard at first, but I will put hours of practice in and hopefully it will all pay off! If I am passionate about something, I put all the effort I can into the time that I am given with it, and I am definitely passionate about MeepCraft.
Dedication: Having been a player here for nearly 20 months, I know how unique MeepCraft is. Being a strict server (that is a good thing) and a child-friendly one, I can easily spot the difference between this and may others that I have joined. On those servers, spam and swearing is rampant, but I know that when I join MeepCraft I can easily have a rationalised conversation with someone, because people here are so mature. This strengthens my dedication to the server, because I know that here is something worth standing up for and working for, because here I can have fun and play with friends who won’t swear at me just because they can. MeepCraft means a lot to me, and I intend to stay here for as long as possible.
Involvement: I am often ingame, chatting with friends or just people who want to talk in /g. I answer people’s questions in Global when they ask, and sometimes I msg them, which is why I may sometimes look like I am staying silent. I enjoy talking with people, which is why I am always watching the chat, although I am super-shy when it comes to TS because irl I am a shy person when I meet someone for the first time. Because of my timezone and the times of school, I am not on often in peak hour, so I generally recognise familiar faces suck as jackl01 and n00bslayer_99, who (I think) share my timezone.
Overview: Being Helper is like playing an instrument, in my opinion. You start off as a hesitant beginner, but as you gain more experience you can play more confidently and join concerts. Then you go through a music exam, where you show all that you have learnt. Then you get to the next music level, which would be Mod in the staff ranks. Ranking up from there is like being chosen for an orchestra when a spot becomes available. I know this paragraph may seem pointless, but this is my personal view of how staff works, and I wanted a way to communicate that with you.
Weaknesses: Nobody’s perfect, and I’m no exception.
Pride: Often in an argument I am convinced that I am right, and this can lead to some pretty immature and stupid statements. However, I know that being angry does no good, and I am working on getting this weakness under control with deep breaths and telling myself that I cannot be reasonable in that state.
Activity: I put lots of time into MeepCraft; however I know that sometimes it cannot be enough. I understand that perhaps I need to get my hours up before I can be a good Helper, and I know that I can put more time in and I will do so. I have my days planned out, and I know just how much time I can put into MeepCraft every day.
TS: This is a major weakness for a staff member; I am shy. I get very nervous when talking to someone I do not know for the first time, but I know that I need to overcome this. Often the reason I don’t talk is because whenever I join a channel people are in the middle of a conversation already and I do not know what they are talking about, however I need to overcome this if I am to succeed in my application and task of becoming a Helper, and I know that I can do this if I tell myself “You won’t get to know them until you introduce yourself”.
Conclusion: Overall, I believe I have the abilities and values that make a staff member. I am mature and sensible, and though I do joke around a lot, I know when to be serious. Though I am hindered by my activity and pride, I can overcome these easily and be the best Helper I can be. I will work hard, and I believe that I can live up to the standards set by the current staff. I am very dedicated to the server, and I would like to accept the challenges of staff and be a member of the team. I feel I've given you an idea of who I am and what I'm capable of, and I hope you think I'm worthy to be a Helper.

Introduction:
Hello, I’m Skaros123, and I’ve decided to apply for Helper. I was here when the new MeepCraft was created, and was granted Mod on July 12th during its opening. I first got accepted as a Helper in MeepNetworks in early May of last year, and continued staffing for about 4 months. I became a SuperMod in August and resigned in September because of real life. I’m a 16 year old high school student and I’m almost done with my sophomore year.
Why you should be Helper?
I’ve learned a lot from my time as staff. I’ve grown to learn my strengths and weaknesses when moderating a server. I’m best with investigations and PR. I’m good with /modreqs as well. I’m very familiar with how to manage a modreq and how to properly assess an issue. I’ve gone through a lot of modreqs before, and it’s almost become my second nature to be a first responder when someone needs assistance. Even now, I would respond to someone in shout how to do something when they ask.
I’ve never been reprimanded, nor have I been reported during my time as staff in the current Meep. I attribute this to my PR skills, as I’ve learned it is important to be rational when dealing with people’s issues. People go through a lot of mood swings when they have a major issue that affects them, and thoroughly resolving the problem is essential. At times, communication with the player base is more about being one’s friend, than being one’s instructor. People want to feel close to the person who is helping them, which is why the way I present myself to people is important to me.
I’m quite familiar with HawkEye and how to use it to it’s full potential. I have grown used to the commands needed to properly complete a minor investigating in the shortest amount of time. I’m also familiar with the rules and am capable of determining a reasonable temp ban time for players who have broken the rules. I’ve learned from past experience that not all cases are black and white. There’s a bigger picture behind broken rules, and it’s important to make a judgement call based on the overall picture.
What I look
Weaknesses:
I can sometimes hold grudges on people. Although, I’m learning to forgive and forget, I can still sometimes hold grudges on people based on their past actions. I try not to let it interfere with how I converse/interact with the person.
I can become easily defensive. At times, this can be a detriment for me. I may be paranoid about the outcome of a discussion with someone and begin jumping to conclusion. However, I tend not to be like this in game. Paranoia is one of my weaknesses, but I try not to show it.
I’m not always able to get on Teamspeak at any given point in the day. I’m usually able to use it within the few 2-4 hours of me being logged on. Otherwise, there may be too much going on in RL for me to properly communicate with people. This isn’t always the case, but it indeed does happen.
Conclusion:
This is why I believe I would make a qualified helper on MeepCraft. I have months worth of experience and I’ve adjusted to learning to develop my skills.Khafra, Jackl01, KariStar86 and 12 others like this. -

When I look at where I am at on this server, it feels like introducing myself to most of the players on MeepCraft, would be very strange, but here goes nothing! Hello to the lovely person that is reading this application. My name is Megan, I am a 22 year old female whom just happens to be a avid gamer. I am a very lazy person when it comes to being motivated to doing things in real life, by no means does this effect the things I am capable of doing when it comes to moderating. This causes me to spend multiple hours staring at a computer screen daily. Around late August 2012 I was lucky to find MeepCraft in my search for my first Minecraft multiplayer server to play on. I have been playing off and on since those times, and am glad to say that I lived through the "MeepCraft ice age"
One of the big things that makes me happy is being able to help. I'm always willing and wanting to assist players, and do my best to improve the server in ways that I can. Through my time as a citizen and a staff member, I have been helping out in any way possible. I am capable of many things. With having the knowledge of how this server runs inside and out, I feel that it will help me in making a return to staff. I feel that what I can bring to the staff, could potentially mold the current staff into something better.
As any person does, I have a few flaws. Some of the flaws I am working on are my patience, I have limited the time that I spend on this server to help with that. I also find that I take things too seriously at times, which can cause me to get aggravated.
I am very bad at applications but in the end, this application is my chance to work towards what I am good at. I hope this proves enough of who I am and where I stand when it comes to looking towards a staff position.
Thank you for reading this. Any feedback is welcome.Last edited by a moderator: Sep 11, 2014iiTzJDL, TheShadowCave, manmaster and 12 others like this. -

I have to admit, Monkey, that your forums activity is pretty dang great. I wish you'd spend a bit more time on your replies in the Q&A, Staff Recruitment, Report a Bug, and Suggestions sections, purely because in-depth and constructive replies are a great thing for staff. I find most of your posts tend to be silly and not have much substance, so that might be a good thing to work on. Just try to respond with lengthier and more mature/literate replies, especially on important posts like the ones in sections I listed above.
You also seem to have a tendency to (jokingly) use most of your posts to poke fun at others, which, while not seeming to have malicious intent, is not always the best idea.
You only seem to have one active warning point, which is pretty good. Also, it's from two weeks ago, which is good as well. Hopefully you learned from that mistake, and won't do it again.
Suggestions ||
In general, just try to post more literate and less joking posts. You need to prove to us you are mature enough to handle this position, because you weren't before.

I definitely see you a lot in game, and you are very noticeable because you spend a lot of your time in shout, generally being welcoming. I haven't seen you act out at all in shout recently, and even a few hiccups would have been alright. I just wish you'd spend a bit more time welcoming new player; you seem more focussed on popularity than actual helping, which makes me doubt your motives.
Basically, the time you spend in shout in game is not necessarily good, because it seems more like you care about how the 'important' people see you, and not about improving the experience of others. See, I feel someone should only become Helper if they truly want to help others. It sounds cheesy, but if your motives are otherwise, it makes me not likely to trust you.
Suggestions ||
Don't desperately try to help in game just to get Helper, but instead show to us that you really care about the community and the server. Shout activity means nothing if all you do is chat.

You are active on TeamSpeak and talk a lot, but I know there's been a lot of issues in the past with you trash talking staff members. I want to be sure that if you get accepted/demoted again, you won't revert back to this antistaff sullen little kid you became last time. I don't think I've seen enough of you on TS to do this.
Suggestions ||
Prove to us that you won't get *ahem* 'butthurt' if you get demoted again. In other words, avoid trash talking other people on TS. It may not be allowed to be recorded, but it doesn't make it any better.

Your hours are alright, though I'm a little confused about your 'Mic Use'. Are you on TeamSpeak without using a microphone during the mornings/at noon? Or do you only go on TS in afternoons/evenings?
Introduction ||
Why ||
While this was overall very good in the beginning, it kind of fell apart near the end. Part of it is parentheses (I know I'm not good for this either (irony) but it's not the best thing for an application. I really struggled with that for mine, to be honest), another part is that it was just in general a little bit hard to read. I'm also confused at why you say Skype isn't part of the job; Skype is extremely important. I think you mean Skype calls, in which case I agree, but you need to be more clear.
I can't fault you on activity, you've got that everywhere. Therefore you don't need to state it for the umpteenth time in your application (sort of kidding, I know you need to put it in your Why, but then you could've removed it the countless other times you threw it in there. It's getting a bit redundant honestly). I'm glad you kept this short, which I honestly shouldn't be.
I seem to remember you not doing this much work. I haven't seen much evidence of this outside of being Helper, either, which worried me. I need to see you acting like this without the tag before I trust you with it, because at this point, it feels more like you want the tag for the tag and not to help people. These words ring pretty hollow with me.
You forgot 'lacking in teamwork' and 'antistaff after demotion'. All half-jokes aside, I don't see why you added 'how your real life is going now', as I feel this shows that you will quit if the going gets tough in your real life, or as you put it, your 'Meep life'. Furthermore, you contradicted yourself by saying you are 'lazy', and yet earlier, you outlines your work ethic. You also need to be a lot more responsible, not a bit, and you should already have 'owned up' to your mistakes; you've spent a lot of time blaming and raging, and these kinds of things need to be fixed before you even think about applying.
Weaknesses ||
I understand better than most how tiredness affects people but it should stay as far away as it can from your work. Being tired shouldn't make you slack. And it obviously isn't the only reason, due to you stating yourself that you tend to be lazy; not just at night, but often.
I never ever ever want to see the words 'if I get accepted' in a staff application, because it implies that you don't do that now. Second opinions are lovely, I use this a lot. Have an outlet; I feel redundant considering the sheer amount of times I've told you this.
Conclusion ||
Suggestions ||
The lack of formatting put me off a lot, although I didn't mention it in the notes above. Try bolding headings, or doing more like what I've done here that makes your application stand out a little from the crowd. It's not good when my reply is better formatted than your application.
Other than that, and like always, a suggested proofreading, I feel the application was a little lack-luster. You repeated yourself a lot and although it was long and some parts were alright (it's a little sad that I liked the Introduction the best), it would be better if you could replace the filler bits with information.

The application was pretty mediocre, except for a few above-average spots. There was a fair amount of repetition, redundancy, and in general, I felt like it was without feeling.

An interview would be alright, but I think, especially if you get denied, you should work on everything above.

You resigned to make some point, and you regretted it. I did the same before too, the key now is for you to take a step back, figure out what you want and then move forward, you're going to take lumps on it either way, so try to take it in stride. -

I believe that I myself ticked all of these boxes.
I witnessed a staff member that was available say to a player make a mod request or I can not help you while they was with the player. If I was to do that when players asked me on Team speak for help or messaged me I would have a lot more mod requests since I was partly banned for a low mod request count.
Majority of the time I was online by myself and completed the tasks of what I believe real staff work is.
We all may have different opinions on what real staff work is but I respect your opinion.
Thank you for the feedback everyone.Its_Madison, kyle_docherty7, Courtneyyy and 11 others like this. -
As far as UglyUnicorn, you're also correct, but I lost my temper after seeing you say Fuzzlr/MeepCraft scams people. I will always find this unacceptable, as it has no merit, and a staff should know this foremost. It wasn't about control, but choice. That is where the mistake was, not that I lost control, but I intentionally chose to say something that I should not have.
I'm a human being, and like all humans being I can lose my temper. I can't justify my actions but I can learn from them. But I know the difference in doing a job and being a human being. In real life I curse like a sailor, but I don't curse in front of customers or on the job. When I was a player I felt I was more at liberty to say the things that came to mind, and accept the consequences. As a staff, I would not have said such things, because I was on a job, which requires customer service skills. This is evident by my past experience as staff, and the lack of saying anything quite as offensive as that when I was staff.
In the end, I believe this criticism will be key; as in I will always say what I think. The only difference is in the lessons I've learned, and in this situation is to not say them in the way I said them. But I will always say what I think, and think what I say.Akiratohiama, Lilliya, benster82 and 11 others like this. -
You have just come back from another - quite literally JUST came back. As in, your perms got removed a half hour ago? Ish?
You were completely rude to me because your name was not put into the meep times, and you called me low for deleting a post (that I didnt delete) and then blocked me on skype. I told you what the meeptimes team told me, and you blocked me.
Not to mention you came back, you said meepcraft was dying, several times.
How am I supposed to trust you after you've come back, displaying loyalty to another server, and then saying meep is dying and not your home and well at least that other server cares!!
You can't be a jerk to the server, its people, and its staff (not even counting myself) put very little effort into an application, not to mention I've only seen you active again past like week or so and I haven't helping or talking much past a hello.
Prepare for the helper job. You can't just say sorry and hope everything will be better now. You have to work back from your toxicity and work towards the position you are applying for, same as everyone else.
I also feel very much that you have been out to get me demoted. Things like poking higher staff with winky faces when they move me into a channel alone. Things like saying ''...'' and being all rude and stuff over a joke that I made that hurt absolutely nobody. You've called me two faced several times, despite my years of activity and months of hard and unwavering work towards this server, and I've not been told off for a single thing yet.
Call me biased if you like. But the things you've done that I've said above are facts (in particular the first two).
I cannot trust you.
Edit: one last thing, I hardly saw you do anything as an admin. I would be able to message you something that would take two minutes (Like a name change on forums) and you'd say okay, I'll do it later, and it never got done. That happened so many times, and its only one example. I saw you doing the base and the minimum and hardly going out to actually work and be an outstanding admin, instead you were just kinda there. Its upsetting.

Introduction: Hey, my name is Derek and I have been playing minecraft on and off ever since around 2011. Meepcraft was my first server I really got addicted to it and played it for around 3-4 years. In my time with Meepcraft I was helper twice and architect once. I have always enjoyed the community surrounding Meep and would love the opportunity to work my way back into it as an architect. I have been building on creative servers recently but I prefer to be around others when building and surround myself in an amazing community which is the reason I am returning to Meep.
Why should you be Architect? I would make a good Architect due to my skills with design, architecture, and terraforming. I am a well rounded builder as well as a team player.
What builds have you completed on the server and where might they be located? Back around 2014/2015 I was architect and built a hunger games spawn and also worked with OldChopper on a new towny spawn but I do not believe it was ever used.
Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: The build shown in my imgur album is unfinished, but I think there is enough there to show my potential for the finished product.
How much experience do you have using Voxel and Worldedit? I have used voxel before but prefer to hand build terrain for most of the part. I can use voxel / WE brushes for the basic layout though. I am very confident with world edit and work efficiently with it.
