    I bought /fix for $80 - What do I get in replacement?

What about the slippery slope precedent this supplies most other arguments, such as /spawner - etc?

But most importantly, I did not donate; I purchased a product and I'd be disappointed (read: Angry) if it were to be removed, regardless of my activity. (As I still do own the product I've purchased, it remains in my interest in perpetuity)

(With the addition of an offset of having my purchase devalued - The idea in itself is good)

This was changed to decrease the spam in chat.
Instead of actively telling players about bans, it may be worthwhile creating a passive alternative, where they can check the recent bans if they want to.

I've seen some suggestions about adding supply drops and things like that to get additional resources. I think this would be cool because it would get all of us who are hiding out of our bases and in the wild to fight for a chance to get some good supplies/skulls. However, this is kinda bland and unoriginal. This is why I am suggesting a new aspect to the Extreme world, Trading Ports!

    What are Trading Ports?

Every 9-12 hours a Trading Port will spawn in a random location and be there for a finite amount of time. It arrives with merchants from outside our world boundaries. These travelers are looking to barter their supplies. They also are open to exchange gold ingots for skulls.

    Whats the point?

In any game that has some form of player economy, it is important to have a viable item sink. There are currently a small amount of ways for us to make skulls and eventually everyone is going to have a stockpile of supplies that they've run out of uses for. This will introduce various methods to make skulls and get rid of grinding out one particular method which gets boring. It will fill the void that is left with the absence of a Jobs plugin, and instead give us all ways to choose how we want to make skulls. It will also greatly enhance the PvP aspect of the game as Ports will bring an incentive to leave your base and also bring a lot of risk/reward to PvP because towns will fight to protect those who are transporting supplies to and from the Ports. This will bring a fun PvP alternative to those who do not want to participate in a Towny War. (It might even start one, who knows).

    Some Examples of Trades

-Large Amounts of cobble, stone, dirt, wood, other building supplies
    -Small amounts of ores
-Small amounts of enchanted books and weapons
    -Potions
    -Spawn Eggs
-Makes gold ingots worth a set amount of skulls
    - The amounts and rarity of items being offered to trade can be random and will change each time

-A buy/sell limit on items can be implemented to avoid exploitation.

    Example Situation

Town A and B see that there is a Trading Port that arrived at coordinates X Y Z. Members of each town group up and go to the coordinates to see what the merchants are offering. They run in to each other and fight for who gets access to the port. The town member who has traded for items is now unable to log out, teleport, or drop/pick up items until they enter their town and members of other towns can pay skulls to get an update of their location.

There you go, I thought this would be a cool idea. The name could be subject to change. Ports would be a cool plugin that has room for many future additions of custom content.

It's about time I made my own thread for this suggestion instead of posting this on everyone else's suggestion.

The suggestion is. Adding new custom or creative perks as rewards for towny in Minigames.
Many times have I seen new players come to the server wanting to play some of our cool and unique Minigames but we are lacking players in them. Adding these features to Minigames would cause our current player base to play our Minigames and will populate them for when newer players join the server. This will then get the player to return remembering how many players were playing our Minigames and maybe then he will join towny and become a permanent member of the community.

Edit: Forgot to add.. Minigames would need their own custom currency that cannot be tradable so it would for the player to play the Minigame. But do leave the rewards tradable to add spice to the Eco.

I will reply to all feedback to this suggestion in the comments so please leave constructive criticism.

It's been awhile that bans are not public and have not been for quite some time.
the arguments for keeping bans private are that it's simply private info and we don't need to know. It's valid.

But to keep the bans public, we know things like that play who was advertising was permed, new players see that staff do indeed enforce rules and therefore they should not break them, as well as providing a learning service to people who want staff so they can learn the offences and times and that stuff.

I'm not going to ask to make the bans completely public. But here's an idea
Noob123 advertises her server. You better believe it's a super cool server. Don't worry, you'll get OP.
A mod sees this, bans the player. Currently, we don't even know if the player is banned unless we do /seen.
How about when the mod bans noob123, there is a message in chat saying this
''Klutchdecals has banned a player for [advertising]. Length: Perm.''
It would stay this way, this way the player name is private but we also clearly know that the player was punished in that context.
We can also see ''SomeStaffMember has banned a player for [theft - Second offense]. Length:2 days.''
The brackets indicate the ban reason when the staff types /ban and the length is obviously the time.

For people wondering about why people got banned or even if someone does something bad in chat, people will see they got banned and know that that certain action is not allowed. It reenforces the rules and reminds people.

I know that it really does seem like an irrational answer to a problem, but lately there's been a controversy with towns that have unreasonably high taxes and are advertised to new players. After discussing this issue with three mayors and one co-mayor, they agreed that removing /t join would be for the better.

If you think about it, if new players had to be invited to a town, it would increase the need for assistants in towns. That means for somebody to join, an assistant, co-mayor, or mayor would need to be online. The assistant/mayor who invited the player would most likely give the player a plot and answer the questions the player has because the assistant/mayor is aware of the new resident.

Please critique as you wish as this is a matter that concerns me and I would like to see a resolution.

    The problem
With the planned addition of Better ChestShop, we allow a more streamlined store process for all Meepers. With the addition of MeepDelivery, we allow Meepers to be able to easily buy items, for a small fee, from anywhere in the world. With the addition of Player-owned Holograms, we allow players to be able to advertise their shops easily.

When players first join the server, they will look for a way to make money. There are currently minimal sustainable ways to make money - hardly any of them being tied in with the Towny aspect of the server. With the model we are headed towards, our goal is for players to be able to sell to other players. This is by setting up a shop, or, if you're a new player, directly selling to another persons shop.

What players will find immediately is that this is unsustainable. There is hardly demand for the items as everyone wants to sell, and nobody wants to buy. Players will find themselves easily going bankrupt by doing this, as although they will stock a large amount of items, it will be impossible or very hard for them to ever sell them again. This was the problem that we saw with VShop, and MeepShop, as the prices would continue to decline until the item was essentially worthless.

    The basic solution
As long as there is a higher demand to sell than buy, the server needs to take the role of buying items from the players. This is a fact, and it is something that can not be avoided. The issue is that as soon as the server starts buying cobble - for example - the item ceases to exist in player-owned shops as it no longer has any demand (as shown by MeepShop)

    My proposition - introduce, MeepTraders!
Every month, the MeepTraders will come from a land far far away! They will be in spawn, and will be accepting to buy varying items for varying prices. One month, they may want Cobble and Iron, while the next they may want Diamonds and Sand. However, if you would like to sell to the traders, you must buy an access pass, that will cost (for example) half a million.

This will serve as the backbone for the economy.

    What will happen, ideally?
The MeepTraders will dramatically change the economy each month with their ever-changing pricing and items they accept. Players will be able to create shops that new players can sell for example their Diamonds to, and will be rewarded by reselling to the MeepTraders for a markup. Rich players will be able to use this system to enable money to actively flow into the economy, as well as sinking out due to the fees associated with the system. Access to the MeepTraders is an investment, and you need to have a serious amount of sales to be able to afford it and make a profit on it.

New players will be able to find player owned holograms where they can sell their goods for fair prices, as well as adding a whole new dynamic to the server to make the things more fun and interesting.

Purely an example - to explain this better
MeepTraders, for the month of December, will be buying all Diamonds for 300 meebles and Iron for 100 meebles. You will be able to buy access to the MeepTraders for 500,000 meebles.

Let's say, I buy access. I will set up a shop, and buy from other players Diamonds for 290 meebles, and Iron for 90 meebles. I will make 10 meebles for every item I buy for selling them to MeepTraders. With that said, I will need to buy 50,000 diamonds (or 50,000 iron in this example) to be able to pay for my 500,000 access fee.

    FAQ
This will make rich people more rich!
That was unavoidable. Having a system where people will make money is inevitably going to allow rich players to become richer, as well as this system, which is centered on that fact. However, we should embrace that, and instead focus on allowing new players to make money. We should have rich players play their role in the server, and get rewarded for doing it. If you do the numbers in your head however, you'll know that unless they have insane quantity, they won't actually get too much money from this system.

Will players who have not bought an access ticket be able to see the prices and the items that MeepTraders is currently buying?
No. They will not be able to see it. We certainly won't ever make them unfair, and we are completely okay with players sharing the pricing with each other, but we would like it to be a complete surprise :)

500,000 is a lot for an access fee!
It is! This is entirely subject to change, so do not think that this is final, but the entire point of this system is so rich players who have an extremely large quantity will be able to afford it and profit off of it.

Who determines the value of items?
The MeepTraders do of course! They come from a land far far away and want some of your goods. Every month, different parts of the universe come to visit the land of MeepCraft to stock up on souvenirs. (In all seriousness however, it would be Administrators. No other staff member would be notified until it has been released to avoid abuse, and each price will be carefully picked dependent on the current market and subject to change as the month continues.)

Is it just one access pass for eternity, or do you need one each month?
An access pass is valid for the month that you have purchased it - and that's it. The idea is that a player will give an investment forth for that single month, and will have to earn back the investment by the end. The price of an access pass is ever-changing.

    What is your opinion?

Nothing short of a brand new server that isn't blacklisted is going to work.

I've poured countless hours into this server and it's hard to admit -- But it's just too little too late, anything happening now is digging a bigger hole in attempt to dig yourself out. The answer is so obvious it's a bit frustrating nobody is willing to attempt it because anything is literally better than what is now. The prevailing attitude of nothing will come of the EULA and denial when something came to it effectively killed this server, community and the work all of us put into it.

Something could be salvaged if people just admitted the position they were in and tried to build something new with some fresh life in it, rather than working to put bricks into an already crumbling building. It's silly, nothing more nothing less.

A mass unban isn't going to fix it, just like nothing else will fix it. Minecraft still has 70+ million users on it and you could easily rebuild something new and fresh and run with it but it won't happen because you keep trying to salvage something that is clearly now scrap.
