Run it back to the 2013 Meep Olympics hosted by IFartOnChilren and BTeets. This legendary 64 pvper tournament had all of the best pvpers representing some of the most feared towns. The eventual winner was terrarium pvp legend iRageFTW, but many suspected foul play. In this video we see pvp scrub Tasmiki fighting DanielRulesMan. You will also get to reminisce the ominous "USER LEFT YOUR CHANNEL" from the old teamspeak server.

(There was some server lag near the end, but most of the lag you see is on my end because my laptop couldn't handle minecraft, teamspeak, and bandicam at the same time).

 

I'm sure there are a ton of nostalgic meep posts from players who don't get on much anymore, but that ain't stopping me.

It's awesome to see the server still chugging along with solid leadership and maintanence. I'm always impressed with how much work people put in to maintain Meep. The community is one of a kind, and it was awesome getting to be an active member. I'm not active anymore due to quite a few reasons, but everytime I check up, I'm reminded of how cool this place is. This server followed me through my maturation, and as gooby as it sounds, I started playing the server as a boy and left a man. Meep certainly didn't have anything to do with my development, but it's hilarious as I look back on significant life events and how they parallel with what I was doing on meep at the time. I probably spent way too much time playing minecraft, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a hell of a lot of fun. I guess my overall message here is appreciate what we have with Meepcraft. You won't find anything quite like it. I'll definitely try to hop on from time to time when I can.

 

I would think that retaining players should be a high priority for meepers. The last two times I seen someone request a town was pretty disturbing. The first time someone asked to join a town all they got in chat was a bunch of no, no, no. That person left the server. I was just on and someone asked to join a town and was told that there was a town open and that was followed by "don't join that town". That person also left. Now I know meep is a tight community and that is what keeps players here but the player base is dying, there are 23 people on, on a Friday night. If you don't start welcoming new players and helping them like people used to do there will be no meep. So for crying out loud invite new players to your towns, get them started, help them and maybe more would stay.

I'm not sure what I expected, really. Y'all announce that you're merging vshops on Thursday, when it already happened earlier in the week. Everyone's items on the wild vshop were lost, but I'm not sure anyone really cared about that. It took a concerning amount of effort to get a staff member to recognize that it was already done.

I managed to get this clarified yesterday afternoon and was assured that it wasn't going to be a problem. Even requested that this be communicated on the forums, but evidently nobody ever got around to doing that. Probably a good thing, since you still screwed things up.

You reset the vshop that was already running on all three worlds.

I lost about 40k items after being told I didn't need to cancel my stock. I'm honestly not sure what the total value was, but it was probably north of 100k. I'm more disappointed in how the staff handled this, though. Doing this properly was so simple, but they somehow weren't able to do it.

Sorry if I'm coming off as disproportionately salty about this, but vshop is literally the only part of the game I play. Hopefully you have a way of making this right, although my expectations are pretty low at this point.

 

Hey guys! Theres been something I've been wanting to say so ill say it now.

It started on June 27th 2014, one of the most memorable days of my life. I got on just because my friend had said something about meep and I thought "Well I maybe should try it" so I got on. I got on and was welcomed by lots of people and was amazed. It was like 1 giant community! However I didn't take this the right way, I thought it would be fun to start some feuds on meep, I was toxic, rude, and incredibly hateful. I called people things to this day im shocked that I did. I was a spoiled little brat that everyone hated, in fact so many people hated me I logged off meep determined to never come back because nobody liked me, and that was definitely my fault.

However I reappeared on December 11th 2015 to just see what was happening, as soon as I popped on I was greeted by a young @~Peper~ in her pre-peper form of kikimittens. She has accidently msged me meaning to message silver01 and apologized but we talked for a while and decided making a café would be a good idea. That's how I met @QueenTiitan Peper @CrazyCatLady_ @iiTzJDL and silver. I bonded so close with these fellows but for some reason I fell apart with them (I do wanna hang out with ya'll again sometime soon!) WE made /pwarp coffee which wasn't very successful and closed soon due to it being blown up (thanks silver!).
These fellows made me love meep, which made me stay to this day.

February of 2016 (I think?!?!) I got my first interview, I had tried to better myself and I had, I had stopped being mean, rude, selfish, and comepletely jerkish to people. This is how I stumbled upon our very own @LadyCass . Where do I even start. Ya cass im gonna talk about you! We were interview buddies, and whenever we met we clicked right away, we talked a lot and she made me come out of my shell to have the courage to speak on teamspeak (Now people think im annoying because I sing and talk wayyyy too much!) Ultimately she's one of my closest friends I've ever made. She was gentle, kind, and she absolutely got me. No wonder she's a mod! (Love you cass <3)

Fortemizuki.... My actual in real life 3rd cousin (who I had no idea exsisted until I asked my mom) commented on my app, she suddenly wanted to talk to me and we talked about our hobbies and interests. We both liked music. Honestly I couldn't tell you how long we still talk about music. She's my cousin and my best friend. Oh @_Peridonyx_ this is gonna be a long one. I met you after spongey (who is amazing <3!!) I had asked you how you were selling houses in your town without being in your town (I didn't know embassy was a thing ofc) You explained to me and laughed it off and we talked for a long time. Minutes became hours, and hours became days. I realized something astronomical. You were there for me. Always. Throughout my parents current divorce and my grandpa's untimely death you were there, always. You are the ultimately most amazing person I have ever met. You are kind, Extremely loving. (And did I mention astronomically pretty?!?!)

That brings us to now! Captain Cluckers got me ultimate, after learning I had been going through this tough time, wanted to make me feel better. I cant even tell you how much im grateful for all of my friends. But you cluckers? You are by far the most generous kindhearted dude ever.

Why did I write all this? Why is this here?

Guys. You are all such big impacts on my life. I mean it. All of you, every single one. Meep has made me the person I am today, I took the new name Dawn, because A. I disgraced the title Silverleaf2001. And Dawn? Dawn means a new day, a new beginning.

That's why im me today. Because of YOU GUYS! So to all you haters who are judgy, self absorbed, and people calling me fake. To all of you. Im not. I changed for myself, to be the person whom I WANT TO LOVE! I did this for me.

I was 14 or 15 when I joined. I am 23 now and working as a systems engineer and will be graduating college in a month. Life is pretty busy, cool to see some familiar names online again.

 

When I was banned, it took me 2 hours for a staff member to tell me why. The reason was for “Player Harassment,” but I wasn’t sure exactly what the staff meant by that. I made a ban appeal asking why I was banned, and that appeal was deleted by staff. I dm’d CluelessKlutz on discord asking why, and he didn’t respond. I asked two of my friends to go to meep discord and join ck's and qazini's call to ask why I was banned (I couldn’t go myself because I am also discord banned). Instead of answering their question, staff ignored them and then muted them for “being annoying.” I asked another friend to dm ck on discord, and ck immediately responded by saying that ban reasons are private and he couldn’t tell him why I was banned. However, this gave me proof that ck was on discord and was just ignoring me, so I confronted him about it and finally he gave me the reason why I was banned.


So yeah, staff to player communication could use some improvements in my opinion.
