Black because it's the symbol of loneliness (in my eyes, read the book The Sight and Fell to find out why) and independence as well as secrecy.

Wolf because I need social interaction and the love of a pack to survive, and because wolves can be sweet and cuddly or totally and utterly cruel, depending on how you treat them.

Tarsiers (pronounced tar-see-ay) jump off of tree limbs in pitch darkness and tackle birds in mid-flight to bite their neck and kill them in seconds. That's why I didn't specify an "insane" tarsier. ;)

But wolves are cool too. XD
