Introduction:
Hello friends! My name is Madison or June, call me whatever you prefer. I spend a lot of my time here on Meepcraft and enjoy it as well. Other than being on the computer I like to go snowboarding and play guitar. I have been doing both of those things for a very long time and hope to improve my skills even more. I try to expose myself to lots of different activities. Knowing how to do a variety of things lets you be smarter and a more well-rounded person. Along with computers, although I’m not that good at it, I like to design little websites with fun buttons and colors. I’m trying to learn more languages but it’s a pain. Learning Java has definitely helped me understand Minecraft and the server a lot more. I’ve been playing on Meepcraft technically since April. I came on the server and left within minutes because there were far too many people. The spam was too much for me seeing that I was used to co-owning a server that had 30 people max. Once that server fell I came onto Meepcraft (late October) to see what all the fuss was about. Turns out, it’s really fun! I thought the mix of mini games and economy was great. These past months have been super cool. I had my own town (imo it was cool) and had a blast doing it. All these things I do make my life a little bit happier.
Why should I be a Helper?
Dedication: When I start something I don’t like to leave it. I would rather be a jack of all trades than just learning another skill then never improving on it. Improving can be done by either striving to learn the skill and in-depth things it involves or figuring out the unknown once it seems like you’ve reached the limit. A lesson in life that I have seen is how you can have a business and it can be an average business so you can say you have a business (it’s confusing but that’s ok). I would rather have a business that starts out average then keeps on improving. I saw this because there are so many people who just give up once they reach what they thought they once wanted. That’s how it ties into my own dedication because I strive to always make a new goal right when I reach the previous. Of course, I don’t overwork myself but I just hate to leave things at their least potential.
Work Ethic:
*Super quick story example*
When I was mayor of my town, I got it to be a metropolis pretty quickly. 94% of the work was done by me. I couldn’t stand having all that unfinished work around the town. My goal was to have one of the best towns. I desperately wanted to have people enjoy the town more than any other. So I kept on adding things. Once I added something like a mob grinder and made it nice, I put in a PVP area, then a barn, then a farm, and so on. I just wanted to have a quality place, in efficient time.
When I work, I think back to strategies that I have learned and apply those to whatever I am doing. Even if it isn’t that related to whatever it is I'm working on, I would try to incorporate a skill in because I believe you can make greater and new things by experimenting as long as you trust yourself! Working almost always requires interaction with other people (especially with the job of a helper). To have a good work ethic with other people you should probably be understanding and willing to work with others. This is a lesson I know I can show very well. Whenever someone asks a question and I am not 100% sure of the answer I always ask someone who might know. I just hate to give people false information but that is also a part of learning.
Involvement: This is very important in today’s meep life with all the updates and such coming by. Even with the 500+ people that come on the server I always look at their usernames and keep a mental note of who they are and how their personality is. I like to stay in touch with the community with in game stuff, ts, and of course the forums. These are the key to knowing what people want. I could, for example, have a suggestion that I think is good but because I know the community well enough I can judge if it would be beneficial or if anyone even would enjoy w/e it is. I think it’s very important to greet the new people with open arms and make sure they know what’s right to do and what is not. A part of being involved comes with making inferences about what could happen. Once you know the server so well this becomes easier to do. For example, we got some new techs. I could guess that new plugins are going to come out. And soon enough we have the new Meepshop and KitPVP. To be involved there also needs to be active decisions being made while looking and I believe my skill for that has been there and beyond.
Weaknesses:
Distractions: I get sidetracked pretty easily. This can take away from my judging of if something I say is correct. I don't like to anwser something if I'm not 98% sure. The distraction part of it is when I'm doing something and another, somewhat significant, thing happens then I may just forget all ofwhat I'm doing. It doesn't have to be a whole different thing either. I might just go into something way deeper than it needs to be and/or over-analyze that or go off topic. My way of avoiding this is being really self aware of what I say and what the things I'd be talking about. I've gotten pretty good at knowing when to stop but to me it is significant and why I wanted to feature it in the weaknesses category.
Conclusion: I’m June and I enjoy this server/helping people/having fun/having others partake in the fun. I have a bit of a life outside of meepcraft but this means a lot more. I may not be perfect but that’s ok. At the end of the day, it’s just a game and I strive to make it just a little bit more enjoyable for everyone. Thanks for reading my helper app and for taking it into consideration. Have a good one!Summers, DancingCactus, Telinus and 3 others like this.
