Introduction​

My name is Dan.

I’ve started using computers at the age of 6 when my father introduced me to a really old IBM computer. He helped me use Task Manager, basic command lines and flash games.

I’ve played flash games on and on with my past computer. I also had a PS2, with all the games in the Rachet and Clank series. Love that series.

I’ve first got into Minecraft in the summer of 2011 I believe. I started to hear about a new online game that was blockly, retro and overall heck of a lot fun. I played around in Classic, then moving on to multiplayer servers. I used to play on many Classic servers. Applying for Op once in a while on servers I felt like needed my services the most. I’ve had one point Op and Moderator on 23 different servers at once, partitioning my free time in 5th grade playing and moderating.

Certainly, that wasn’t very efficient, however I have had a lot of valuable experience moderating and caring for specifically Minecraft servers. It has been quite a Minecraft journey over these years, and I still have the dedication for my desire for everything Minecraft.

I’ve first discovered MeepCraft in the middle age of MeepNetworks, the golden era of MeepCraft in my honest opinion. There were new players galore, spawn thriving with random drop parties and the global chat filled with auction wars and such a competitive economy, and who could ever forget the sprawl of PvPers in the great terrarium. Truly a great period of Minecraft excellence.

I had a nation of Opulence and was God Emperor of Luxury. I had quite more than 3 million back then, and was very affluent in general

I’ve played on MeepCraft for a good chunk of 7 months, then went inactive until October of 2014 where I started to use TeamSpeak, and started to open up more.


This isn’t my first application for helper, as I had a interview before and was only declined to due to a slight lack of maturity as I was still a wee 7th grader, by one staff reviewer. I’m now a high school sophomore, and I believe I have built up my skills and strengths, to tackle on the job and responsibilities of being Helper.

Why I should be given a chance at helper​

I’ve learned many things from moderating Minecraft servers. One must have patience and dedication to be a helper. Without being kind, helpful and understanding, the whole moderation fails to be helpful.

It is important to answer questions, but going further to demonstrate your explaination and teaching how to solve other questions the player might have is the extra initiative in helping as a moderator. There really is a personal satisfaction when I help a player. They might be confused and mad while I calmly try to help them. When people get stuck, and I help them it truly brings joy and happiness to my heart knowing that they are helped.

The player base is ever-growing and it has been a amazing set of these years, MeepCraft standing up to the test of time with it’s never-ending brilliance and concept. I am confident that I will be dedicated and willing to spare most of my free time in helping ones in need, old players who returned, etc.

I have also very patient customer service skills. I have over 400 chats in the Xbox Ambassador service program. I have quite the customer service and social skills to tackle on a big towny server like MeepCraft.

One of my areas of specialty is bringing experiences and understanding to other players situations. I will try my best to understand and to suit players with different backgrounds, racial profiles and cultures.

I will always be calm in administrative situations and try to help the best I can. I have specific experience in nearly most administration command systems and will use the commands to the fullest extent for the good of the server and player base.

As a helper, it is simply easy to catch rule breakers. With Report a Player forum section it is easily for anyone to do a “Citizen’s Arrest” as to say. But with the privilege of Helper commands, I will not abuse, however use them to benefit the server, not to take myself to a higher degree nor take any other non staff to a lower degree.

Also another reason for a chance of Helper is my ability to keep calm while debating, respecting other’s opinions. I like to debate on the forums and my ability to think deeper and more cognitively will help in making hard and quicker, more informed decisions while administrating on MeepCraft.

Being staff isn’t about the power. It’s the privilege to help even further than reporting with Report a Player, it’s to set a standard for other staff and to give a good example to the server itself. With the additional tools and commands, I can be able to find griefers, stealers and x-rayers in MeepCraft. I have quite the experience in finding dupers and x-rayers from administrating many Minecraft faction and towny servers.

Weaknesses​

Skype: I simply don’t use skype as much as any other player might. I have it and fully accessable, but I usually use TeamSpeak for basis of all communications. I find it to be too clunky and interfering with my sound and general communication.


Straightforward & Crude: I will be very straightforward and crude at times. This might help, however in certain times, players might take that as a offence and might take it as a act of aggression. I do this to minimize personal bias or error. However, I do need to improve on this attitude to improve my overall friendliness.

Conclusion​

With a chance at helper, I will further help and renew our understanding of what it is to be a staff member. I will show outright dedication and righteousness for all staff members and players to follow. I will teach, love, and guide new players and all players alike as a helper, and will never try to use my powers for my own benefit or another individuals in a malicious way.

Instead of changing your minds so many times, maybe you could consider your thoughts aren't required, and it's not a horrible thing to keep to yourself until you have a valid answer you are sure of. I don't mean to sound rude here, but it feels like a lot of people reply because they feel they have to, not because they want to. I highly recommend reading the quote in my signature by Plato. I understand my DJing style is sometimes offensive and explicit.

However, if your basis of my immaturity by my musical services;

I understand that we had very little in-game and TeamSpeak interaction besides this DJ activity. I understand that you may see me as completely unconstructive and immature. But I believe that is not the case; You may ask other players or the past comments on the application for reference. I'm sorry that my first impression was not of benevolent nature.
Otherwise, any other evidence of me being immature outside of the Player Radio channel is completely evident and correct, if you believe it to be.

You went in my town and simply complained about my town.

You insulted saying these skyscrapers don't look good at all.

I said Hey, I'm working on it. However you kept on expressing your negative, non constructive criticism on me.

I asked you to stop, to the point you kept on harassing me and only talking bad about my town that I told you many times to leave.

You continued to fly around and mock me. I had to get Diana just to make you leave.
