Hi all, this is my first forum thread, but I feel it is a necessary one.

As of late, I have been playing quite a lot of CTF: I find the object of the mini-game entertaining and the pay to be good – especially with the Supreme multiplier I get ;). However, I have some ideas that I think will make Capture the Flag even better.

Firstly, there has been some banter about players afking in a team's spawn, probably for no better reason than to reap the rewards of their teammate's efforts. This, while I find humorous when I encounter no resistance when I cap that team's flag, I feel would be best changed. The players on the team of an afker are hurt since the auto-balance feature still counts that non-participating player as part of the team, meaning new players won't be added to that team until all of the other teams are given an equal amount of players.

This shouldn't be happening, look at the scoreboard.

To fix this, an afk kick plugin should be implemented. MeepCraft used to have such a plugin server wide in the past, but this really only needs to be implemented into CTF. Perhaps make the time limit around two minutes, give or take, allowing players to take a bathroom or water break while still maintaining their respective team. I would hate to be kicked from a previously winning team after like thirty seconds of being afk because I was filling up my water bottle.

Secondly, I have noticed there is a bug that causes maps to be reused without chests being refilled or sometimes even the terrain being reset. If this is intentional, I fully feel this should be changed as it doesn't make the map in question as fun to play on as it was fresh. Taking advantage of this, players could store goods hidden in chests for future consecutive games on that map.

The problem is fine if a different map is used each time, but replaying the same map twice in a row creates the problem stated above.

In addition to maps being boring after, why are there only two maps? I'll admit that it's far easier to become great at CTF this way, but it seems that over half of the players in CTF are Citizens, meaning that they are likely to become bored and potentially leave the server (or certainly not donate) if only two maps are played (also if I crush their dreams with my epic CTF skillage, but that's a different problem). Basically, I'd like to see more maps, especially since Hunger Games just got plenty of new maps.

Moving right along, another problem I have noticed with CTF is the lack of command permissions allowed while in the game. To give an example, I wasn't even able to use /r. I would like to see the following commands enabled in CTF:

All messaging commands and aliases - This includes /r and other commands like it.
/money and its aliases - Since players make money at CTF, it only makes sense to have this enabled.
Shout toggle - With all the claiming of flags and messages generated by CTF in addition to shout, a toggle feature would be greatly appreciated. It tends to get quite spammy, almost to the point where I can't read shout or CTF information, rendering both sets of texts useless color obstructing my health bar. I cannot stress how important this is.

An example of useless chat due to both shout and CTF information conflicting.

Whilst most of this thread has been suggestions, I will state this: earnings multipliers for ranked meepers was something that was done gloriously right. I was initially upset after kits were taken away, despite knowing it was for the best, but this actually makes this mini-game high on any player's priority list of ways to make money. As such, higher ranked players might actually engage in more CTF.

Overall, I quite like CTF, so I'd appreciate it if those that read this thread fully to comment on these ideas so we might be able to get these implemented. Thanks!
