He wasn't a great figure in American Politics. While I often respected why he chose on cases, his views were antiquated and were out of sync with this Era.

    Good Riddance.

Quite frankly, the quicker this older Reaganite generation dies off, the quicker our country will become reasonable. This extreme conservative group in America is literally holding people back for the sake of whatever reason they spout off.

Because that is unlikely to ever happen. Just because it's technically possible doesn't mean it's not absolutely absurd.

It's akin to saying North Korea will lead the free world, not because it couldn't happen, but the notion is still ludicrous.

He could TECHNICALLY be picked as a SCOTUS judge after he steps down by the next president. no rule against that. He is also relatively young with decades as a constitutional lawyer. Nothing in the constitution forbids it.
    no he wont be.
Though antiquated he made great points at times and wasn't a terrible person. He wasn't against social change, he wasn't racist or a bad man in general. He simply believed that the constitution was not a mode for these things to be accomplished, and should have been left up to state legislature. this would be the most democratic way for things to happen, unless the constitution does apply explicitly. Him and Ginsberg were best friends and polar opposites on the court.
