i wrote something like this a long time ago but it seems to have been lost. i'll probably write it again because i was pretty proud of making it but i see what you mean.

the only problem: is it worth the time?
it seems like a big project that probably would take a long time.
+1 for it to happen ONE DAY, just not now

 

But then poor people cant do as well? Because they cant buy/customize there kits. What if you use the normal kits to get points then trade those points with a small amount of meebles (like taxes) to make it.

 

I like this idea, but it costing just sounds like it will end up like the potions... Not being used at all.
Instead of it costing, make having more loadouts more cost meebles. (And to change / edit a piece in your loadout, it could cost 250 meebles each)

There should also be a point system base on how good the equipment is. Max being (choose max number here) points.

this is an example:

Diamond chest-plate = 3 points
Diamond sword = 2 points
Sharp 1 = 1 point
Sharp 2 = 2 points
Sharp 3 = 3 points
Bow = 1 point
128 arrows = 1 point

+/- I rather have them fix mini-games first. Nice idea.
