When did you join Meepcraft? November 2012 (Active from March 2013)

Introduction: Hello! Many of you know me on Meep by the nickname Pseudo; currently, I go by PseudoGod, but players can call me anything they like, including my first name, REDACTED. Although I joined MeepCraft on November 17, 2012, I cannot say that I became really active in the community (getting myself “out there” to everyone) until most likely March of 2013. I consider myself an experienced and seasoned player, one who has experienced the many phases of the server’s life, like Old Meep, MeepNetworks, and just recently the Gamma revitalization/reset.

I thank the people and players of MeepCraft for allowing me to establish myself in late 2015 and 2016. In real life, I have a profound interest in economics and I must say that it has helped me amass my fortune on MeepCraft as well as successfully run my conglomerate of warps and shops, the collection of which I bestow the name of “PseudoCorp” on. Furthermore, mathematics, especially statistics, pique my interest and also have played a role in facilitating my success on the server.

Why should you be Helper? 1) Dedication - I find myself to be a dedicated player of the MeepCraft server, but this is an ambiguous term. What is dedication, in my eyes? It is the ability to commit to a goal (in this case, playing MeepCraft). Not only did I experience our first reset, way back at the fall of MeepNetworks in July 2013, but have played with a degree of consistency until today, and witnessed the second (soft) reset in August of 2016. Because I am so active, this ensures that I will be able to frequently assist players with problems they are having, as well as keeping a watchful eye over global chat and answering questions plus dealing with troublemakers.

    2) Participation - In global, nation, town, and message chat, I believe I am doing a decent job of participating in the community and being an active and dedicated player. I have tried to cement my status as a member of this great community by participating in discussions whenever I find it appropriate to comment on them or otherwise voice an opinion of mine, as in my opinion, global chat can become a place where much intelligent discussion goes on. I would love to make it better by moderating it to ensure that it stays positive and beneficial to all who partake in it! Lastly, I note that I host many player-driven events which allow players from the community to sign up and participate in, and I humbly believe that this causes new players to feel more welcome and make the community a closer-together bunch - that’s why I do so.

    3) Specialized Talents - I believe that my skills manifest themselves best in technical questions and solutions. I am very skilled in economics, specifically the inner workings, and I can apply this to moderate and ensure that the economy is balanced and runs smoothly, producing a stronger Meeble foundation. In addition to this, I have closely worked with current staff members such as CluelessKlutz and KlutchDecals to balance the economy. This is only one of the ways in which I can work together with other staff members, but one that I find especially important to share and note. I also have much experience in advanced redstoning, armor stand tools, and towny commands, which means that either through chat or /tpa I can always lend a hand in terms of technical matters. I firmly trust that these skills are earned through playing the game diligently and learning more about how all of this works, therefore, I proudly find it a badge of my dedication to MeepCraft.

    4) Leadership - In legacy, I ran the famous Pseudo Corporation empire, which at its height consisted of over 20 /pwarps and many different shops, all of which were tied together to produce profit. As in real life, it takes time and effort to facilitate such success and allow it to become competitive against other corporations and networks. With the marketing strategies I have amassed over my tenure as a player here in place and being readily applied, I was able to turn huge profits while making items fairly priced for the players - something which I am especially proud of as it allows everyone to get what they want while also paying around what they want. In Gamma, I am a co-owner of the Roman Empire, whereas on a smaller scale I am also a co-owner of the most profitable and rich town in the aforementioned world, currently called Rome. At the time of writing, plans exist to fully transition the PseudoCorp empire into Gamma; its integration is begun but not yet completed, something I timely intend to complete.

    5) Work Ethic - As I have previously mentioned, running the vast network of /pwarps which I owned, as well as turning a profit from them, was not simple, nor was it a matter of an overnight setup. As the saying goes - Rome was not built in a day! I find myself consistently able to accomplish what needs to be done while ensuring time for anything else I want to do - that is, leaving free time for myself. In my personal, academic, life, I am enrolled in multiple AP classes, namely calculus AB, language and composition, and chemistry. I frequently find myself able to easily complete all homework and score well on tests - and all it takes is a good amount of work! This is something I apply to MeepCraft, and it is positively impossible to become as rich as I have without working for it. This is what I will do as staff, ensuring that I do the best I can.

What are your weaknesses? 1) Toxic History - It is not something which I can easily push away, nor is it anything I intend to run away from. I used to be one of the most toxic players on the server. However, hearing the encouraging words of many staff members and regular players alike telling me they noted my progress has been extremely uplifting. I am today proud to say that I am no longer, in my humble opinion, the proverbial thorn in MeepCraft’s side. I strive to become a productive player here, and to join the staff team I have had to drastically clean up my act. I was previously a scourge upon the server, never being constructive and always insulting people, dragging on conversations long after they should be past, and I was rightfully banned for this multiple times. I have wronged so many people, and my only wish is that all of you who still remember whatever I had done to you can someday come to forgive me. I love this server, but no amount of explaining my wrongs can make amends for it. Instead of moving away from it, I intend to acknowledge them and move on as a better person from it.

    2) Inexperience - I find this a minor flaw, but still necessary to note. I have never previously been staff on another server nor MeepCraft, which may be a bit annoying as I will sometimes make mistakes, but I feel as if we all do, so I will learn from them and grow. This will be my first experience as a staff member on any server - but I anticipate it with open arms.

Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: There isn’t too much left to say. Once again, I reiterate my apology, extended this time sincerely to those who have been victims of my anger and toxicity in the past. However, I end off this helper application knowing that I am suitable for this job, and that I can become an asset to MeepCraft. Even if this is not accepted, I will continue to work hard, and if it is, you can bet anything that I will work hard for this server which I love so dearly. Why else does one stay on a Minecraft server for over four years? Thank you for reading, and have a wonderful day.

That's true, I remember specifically when he intended to put something in /tcg which had to bypass the filter so he could say it (which we would all have been okay with) but he put it in /tr which earned him a ban. It was several months ago so I think that he should adapt to that by just using /m <name>, that way he won't get any of that silly stuff going to another person and causing an uproar. @PseudoGod

Just in the time since I first met, you have done a complete 180 as far as attitude. Not gonna lie, when I first met you in Ctf, I would literally leave the game or call for friends just because you were there. In less than 8 months, you have completely turned around, and tried as hard as you possibly can to improve. You've taken things far better more recently, and continue to improve yourself further and further. Your application nailed the thing I like to see in an application, though I'd be curious to see a bit more in the introduction (just me nitpicking, though).

You are a true example of dedication and motivation. You understand very well how mechanics work in everything, and clearly would be able to show others how to play, which is one of your jobs on the team. I firmly believe your unique set of talents and mindset would be fantastic to have, as I have come to respect your thoughts of many subjects. I know some people still have issues as far as toxicity, but I cannot recollect any prime examples of such in the last 2 months or so.
This is how people should respond to criticisms. You acknowledge your own faults, apologize for them, and try to do better. I wish you the best of luck, and for you to keep improving, good luck!

    Hello There.
I am aware that I have been toxic in the past and that I have offended many people during my course of playing meepcraft. However, I have been taking steps to make sure that I don't have those toxic episodes any more, and I do greatly apologize if I had said some bad things to you or anyone else in the past.

As for the incident, I am fully at fault for what happened, and it was very unprofessional for me to act that way. However, I wish to make that an isolated incident and not a regularity. If I had not apologized before, I will now. I am deeply sorry for saying those hurtful things to you and other people in particular at the time of the incident.

Yes but if the way he was talking to that person accidentally goes to someone else via a /r (because staff get messaged 24/7) that's where we have problems because they were gross just saying.

Anyways I like you pseudo I think you'd do well and your knowledge in certain areas would help us tremendously. +1 for interview good luck.

What Pseudo speaks about with his friends is never an issue as long as that individual doesn't find it an issue. This is likewise with any other member.

I'll be honest, even though I told you not to apply until early January you disregarded my advice and you're applying now, but I feel like the effort you've been making can make up for that a bit. Not only have you overall improved your behavior, but you're hosting a gigantic contest, the likes of which haven't been seen in a while. I think you genuinely want to help the community, and you want to experience being staff.

Also, the application was much stronger than your previous ones, I'd say it's even the best one that you've rolled out yet. +1

I should also note that this is entirely true. Pseudo had been killed in very uncertain circumstances and thus was extremely upset that he had lost a dragon egg which the members of Rome had themselves personally killed. Regardless, I purchased it back for 1.7 million Meebles (Thanks @Vampire_Man_32 and @Midnight_Galaxy for being so willing to part with it), and Pseudo has gotten so much better at controlling his impulses, he simply says anything that he needs to vent off in either town chat or Skype. This is a huge step in the right direction for him as it highlights his attempts to work on himself as a person, in order to become a better applicant.

At this point, you're dedicated enough, this time you've actually worked on and improved yourself.
You still need work. But I'd like to see that interview.

How will I be sure if I file a modreq, i don't receive toxicity? I have been online during some of your toxic moments, and I think you could be a great mod, because of how well you know meepcraft, but toxicity is the one think that I am wondering about and how you will deal with it. What makes it sure that you won't start being toxic again, during your first run as staff?
(Vote will be posted on your response)

EDIT: a while back, like one or two months ago, when you had some sort of ban, because I reported you for something, you got banned on your main, then come onto your alt account, and start calling me nasty words in GLOBAL, like really? I don't think this is suitable, when it happened only a month ago, and you haven't said anything about it, to me or the community. Even to apologize?!?!
