Skepticism is fine and is a good quality to have. However, it's going to be extremely important to understand that the MeepStaff is a team, and it may make decisions as a whole that individual members disagree on. It cannot afford to have individuals act contrary to what the staff as a whole has decided--this would show a lack of unity, and this has always been been bad juju in the past.

Make sure to not confuse being "brutally honest" with being "brash." Meaning, you can still be honest and up front without being rude.

Response not entirely related to the app:

C++ is actually insanely similar to Java in several aspects (albeit having multiple differences). This is especially true when you consider the various paradigms; for instance, if one learns how to utilize functional lambdas within object-oriented C++, they are going to have a better time utilizing lambdas in the very object-oriented Java programming language. If someone learns about design patterns in Java, they're going to have an okay time utilizing design patterns in C++. Even pointers, which both always and never exist in Java (lol) are more easily understood once fiddling with the stack and heap in C++. Furthermore, those who start viewing languages as tools instead of lifelines can use the analytical skill garnered from learning any language and apply it to most any other computer language in some fashion or another. I'm sure you'll find that if you learned C++ properly, it should be relatively easy to catch on to Java quickly.

Hey there Lane, this is a good start to making an application but its needs a lot more detail involved.

As I said yesterday in CasualMow's application, if you are making a point you need to expand and give more reasoning behind it.
    For example:
    * 'I want to become helper so I can help people' - In what way would you help people? Essentially this is just explaining what anyone could do without the title of Helper, let alone the individual characteristics that you could bring to the role to 'help' people.
    * 'give back to meep for the community' - How will you give back to Meep?

We learn a little bit about you in the first section but yet again these points can be expanded. Even the bit where you talk about being 'the creator of FIRST robotics team 5509’s website', it is interesting to read about so write a few more sentences on this. Maybe add on how this can aid you, if you do become successful, as a Helper.

Your weaknesses can also do with a bit more background behind them. For instance, you can pick a weakness and explain how you will overcome this.
    For example:
    * 'Some of my weaknesses include a lack of community involvement, as I’m not too keen on talking to others on discord using voice' - This is a great start but by adding, for example, 'However, I will try to involve myself more in the community by becoming more active on forums or getting used to speaking to people on Discord, this will help my confidence is these situations'. To be honest I was scared of speaking to people on Discord but by slowing chatting to @EllieEllie @CluelessKlutz @Draqq @MasterofBoom , I have become a lot more confident. So try speaking to a few of your friends and you'll slowly get used to it!

For the time being I am going to leave my vote as a -1 but with more detail and individual touches, you will get there with a successful application. Don't let this vote stop you from trying again with another application but good luck in the future!
