Pre-ban I learned /heal clears your effects (including night vision and haste II, can't confirm for others atm because banned) and I just remembered that today.
(This occurred in Wild)

Also as of a month ago or so dying in parkour removes your night vision (and presumable other effects) which is really inconvenient if you're trying to play chillroom without fullbright or modified gamma
