Community/Server Events

Mining Craze 2.0
The second such event of its kind, the Pit offers a different style event than normal. Bringing their own pickaxes, players mined through a pit of materials searching for precious ores. The top three winners from this last Pit Event were Synergizer, teddypines, and EmperorMeznik. Congratulations!


MeepTimes Contests
In this section, the community will get a chance to participate in a quick contest in each MeepTimes! There will be a 25k prize (from the MeepTimes writers) for one lucky winner, who will be chosen by random number generator. To be entered, just reply to the thread with an answer! Winner will be paid with the release of the next MeepTimes.


The question for this issue is: Which moderation staff member (not counting admins) has been on the team the longest?

How did you come up with the name ‘Blendycat’ and all of its variations?
I used to have a youtube channel called BlendyCat and I made Blender tutorials (which is a 3D modeling/animation software) and I liked cats.

So cats vs dogs you choose cats?
No comment.
You know BlendyDog doesn’t have the same ring.

What do you like to do on Meep?
Usually harass people in global, or prank qazini.

As you said, you like to play pranks. What has been your favorite to date?
One was when I built the Nyan Cat song looping near qazini’s house because you know how much she hates music.

You also enjoy programing. Why do you like it and which project of yours are you most proud of?
I enjoy working with data (aka I’m Mark Zuckerberg.) It’s probably hard to explain to someone but, like how you save the userdata to a database, making sure it’s encrypted and/or hashed and reading that back to the website so that you can verify a login is pretty neat. I made my own Prisons plugin once, and on the more web development side of things, I made a notes program where you could make noteboards with sticky notes arranged however you like.

What about in books or movies?
Probably Harry Potter, because who doesn’t want to be a wizard?

Which Hogwarts house would you belong to?
Whatever the hat thinks I belong in, not some Buzzfeed quiz.

What about your favorite book?
Prisoner of Azkaban, I really enjoyed the Sirius Black character.

Anything else you’d like to add?
I never got my Hogwarts acceptance letter, which was pretty disappointing, however I did learn how to be how to be a coding wizard from youtube.
