Helper Staff Application: Deinen0

Damn, when I saw this I was surprised to see a single -1, Ive known Deinen for years now and He was the best admin we have ever had. +1 All the way m8.

 

I'm gonna +1 this. Reasons above, but you know why as well.

+1 You deserve to have a place back in the staff of meep also you managed to help me sort out a town and you knew the commands and probably did the helpers job for them very well done you may have made mistakes in the past but we are all human, we all make mistakes i think you deserve another chance because you are a great peoples person, you know all of the commands and you are friendly and approachable which is what a staff member of meep needs

I cannot judge you much because I don't know you, but based on the comments of other players and after doing some digging, you seem to have issues with anger and holding grudges. When being staff, you have to be able to deal with controlling your emotions. It is key to maintain the professionalism that us staff have to uphold. I understand your reasoning when you explained why you did what you did, but this hints at lack of self control, and stuff like that can pop up at any time. Also, how could I know that you won't choose to make that decision again? In addition to that, the crimes that you committed while being an admin shows your tendency to abuse power, and that gives me serious concerns if you were given staff permissions once again. Power abuse when you are a helper/mod is still not as severe as power abuse as an admin. All the things you must go through to obtain that position and still abusing the power entrusted onto you is astounding. Of course, I do believe that people can change, but I am not very convinced at the moment. On the other hand, you have plenty of experience at the back of your hand since you were ex-admin, and we could use an extra helping hand. I wish you the best of luck.

 

I'm not sure if I really like you dienen. However, as far as I know the only interaction I have had with you is on the forums. Bad staff = People leaving so..... +1. I don't like it when people leave because of staff.

Eh, he was actually trusted against with staff after he was demoted... he did not abuse at all, he simply resigned because he became a little too inactive.

You're an experienced ex-staff, so it's apparent that you can handle the helper position. There is no question about that.

However, I think it just boils down to something that I have thought a lot about since you've posted this app:

What I understand based on your mistakes is that you need to think about your actions more. Every time you do something out of emotion, think about the consequences. Since I have made the huge mistake that happened over a year ago, I have thoroughly thought about everything I have done on the server. This doesn't mean I won't make a mistake again, but mistakes will be a lot less likely to happen.
Think about your actions very thoroughly, especially if they are tied to emotion, from experience I have learned that this helped me a lot.
I also recognize that the more mistakes a person makes, the more they have learned, and the less likely they are to make that mistake again, which is great. But, it's even better if mistakes can be avoided, especially when in a position of power, and even a role model to some of the normal players.



My vote is neutral, because I know you're capable of the position. I just need more proof that you can think about your decisions, and examine the consequences before you take action.

We have had our ups and downs, but you are an extremely nice and smart man. You may get mad sometimes, but other than that, you posses every quality it takes to be staff. You are active, dedicated, and willing to do the work. I could write a whole lot more, but the reasons are quite obvious.

Changing it to -1 because I did some thinking.

I was trying to think of situations where you weren't annoying and or condescending and I couldn't think of one where you weren't. Also the prominent know it all prideful attitude when you would talk to people in general, that always seemed to be in every comment you said, annoyed the hell out of me. Then you spawned in tens of millions of Mebeles worth of blocks of gold, which is extremely questionable and certainly unforgettable. What scares me is you thought you would get away with it or that it would be excused for it because of your Admin rank. The thought that scares me the most is that you didn't care what effects it would have on the econmey and the other staff members. I mean really? That inexcusable and a, "I've learned my lesson," attitude won't change that. You had a reputation and you ruined it. It's going to take a lot of time for you gain your trust back.

So -1 for a long time, unless I see a submissive freindly down to earth Deinen0.
