First, getting this out of the way. If you identify as a transgender, I'm 100% okay with that. I'm not the type of person that will harass or belittle you about your life choices just because I don't agree with you. I support people suffering from gender dysphoria to find a way to solve their problem in anyway they see fit, including gender reassignment surgery.

Before you label me as a bigot or a misogynist or something of the like, I believe I should have the right to explain why I believe transgenderism is a delusion. I believe the popularity of transgenderism today is just like the radiation-miracle cure phase of the 1980's, a movement with no factual backing. I was taught at a young age that the only way to prove something is to provide fact. If a pressured a transgender to prove to me that they were really their chosen gender, would they be able to prove it to me? They would not. If I feel like I am a frog, society will tell me I'm obviously human, despite the fact that my frog-otherkin fantasy has just as much proof as transgenders - we feel like it.

Why would no one agree with me if I identify as 60 years old? You can't magically change your gender, you cant magically change your sex, you can't magically change your age. Fact is not subjective, its a constant, and fact doesn't care about your feelings. And listen, I'm fine with you calling yourself a girl, I could not care any less. But if you're asking me to pretend like men are women, I will not do that.

Anyone want to convince me otherwise? If you disagree, please comment, I want to have a civilized discussion about this, and I have a lot of evidence to support myself.

 

I'm confused by the lack of trans-genderism throughout all of human history and then the abundance of it now.

I couldn't care less what people feel like being, but I do dislike the insistence of specialized pronoun. I refer to people as "he" or "she", if you don't call into those two, I call you "it".

 

You are biologically male or female. This is called sex. You can define how you think of yourself and your role in society. This is called gender. You cannot fully change your sex. You can take hormones to suppress the characteristics of your sex and have a sex change operation, but are still biologically male or female. Gender is fluid. You can reassign it along a spectrum due to its fluidity. So a frog is biologically a frog and we can prove it with DNA tests just as we can prove you are biologically male or female. However, just like being gay, you cannot scientifically prove someone is transgender because the act of reassigning gender is a choice by the individual. And before you say scientists have located a gene that may be responsible for being gay, that hypothesis is no where near being tested enough to be considered hard evidence.So your standard of testing is simply not suitable because you are testing for the wrong thing.

Also, so you believe gays can't exist?

I have, but that doesn't serve any relevance. Instead of playing the "You don't know what its like" game, please explain to me how believing your'e a different gender is any different than believing you're a wombat, or show me evidence saying that transgender people are their chosen gender.

The fact is that you can't, because at the end of the day, facts dont care about your feelings. Facts dictate you are your biological gender, and I wont pretend that you're anything different.
