I believe that you might be misconstruing my intentions. I'm not trying to make him look foolish. My goal was to show that there is something objectively wrong with insulting others in a debate.

I think prioritizing a productive conversation should be our primary concern. By deconstructing the insult-driven mindset in question, in the most logical way I can? By explaining that I used to believe this too? I believe that I can convince people not to go down this road. Many people seem not to care for how they treat their interlocutors. That's why I'm spending so much time, trying to push back against this mindset. Time spent engaging with others counts for nothing if everyone involved is closed-minded.

I suppose it's hard to see, but I do enjoy a productive debate sometimes. You're doing a fine job as admin and I have no issue with you, just responding the same way that I would to anyone else.
