    Warning labels: yes.
    No false advertising: yes.

Can we please move the debate of governmental power to a different thread? It may feel on topic to you, but we are arguing entirely different things. Why should I argue with you how much power I think the government should have in total, when the point is to find out if the state governments should currently allow marijuana usage? I understand that your view of marijuana legalization is based off of your view of governmental powers, but there's too much to talk about when it comes to the US government's power that this thread would be a bad platform for this debate. I chose to base my argument off of the government's current policies for usage of power in regards to drugs as I didn't want to have this debate in the middle of everything.

The founding fathers lived in a time where the United States was supposed to be more like the United Nations. Now the US is more of one giant country with 50 provinces, each with their own counties.

I think when it comes to gun control vs. marijuana legalization, the ideas aren't so easily comparable. Both are handled very differently by the government, meaning that what will be done and how each will be used are very different. I would say that @Blue_marlin98 and I stand on a side against the usage of mind altering, addicting drugs while trusting people with guns under the right circumstances. On the other side, I believe you see @Blue_marlin98 and I to look silly for a arguing against the dangers of one thing, but not another. If you want to figure this out, then start a thread on gun control.

This should be a fun one...

Really simple question: Should Marijuana be legal in the United States?

I personally consider as it's barely harmful (250KILOGRAMS in 15 minutes is the minimum fatal dose I believe) and usually used as medicine, it's really not hurting anyone. Opinions?

I don't really have a strong opinion on this, so I'll just say what I think. Marijuana is not good for you, but it isn't as harmful as some people say. Getting in trouble with police for smoking marijuana does more damage to your life than smoking it. However, it is not good for your health and addiction can be a huge negative impact on somebody's life, and can lead to other, more dangerous substances.

Can't talk for America but in Aus they should, I'd much rather buy from the government knowing it's clean pot and hasn't been sprayed with pesticides or dipped in gas for the extra high like numerous sellers here do.

It ain’t that bad, it’s fun and healthier than alcohol, for the least. It’s legal here, and there’s no reason to deny it’s medical factors.

theres the argument of ""its a gateway drug"" but osrs its the laced stuff sketchy dealers sell that's really the issue.. as kling said this could b insanely reduced if the government is willing to supervise and ensure clean weed is dispensed. i have dispensaries very close to where i live (woot woot california) and i think a lot of people are comforted by them.

Not only that but dispensaries owned by the local government can be put back into community for projects, school/hospital improvements and road repairs to increase the quality of living in the area.
