Meepshop - Delay

Now you're making me nervous as to how drastic it's gonna be..... I've got 70 chests of loot I need to make a pretty good profit on
Any time estimate you could give us? This is getting a little nerve-wracking with basically no shops. Also there's the person above me who is supposedly making millions off of this middle stage.

 

Is it up yet? I can't get on atm, could someone tell me?

During a project like this, when you reach a point where there are too many bugs and problems, you may have approached it the wrong way. It's better to get the foundation laid correctly to protect against bugs than to try and patch it endlessly. You sure you aren't at a point where you should scrap the current development and start over? Just give us a good deliverable eta next time so as to not stagnate the econ to this degree.

 

Still waiting for the new shop to be introduced...it is now the 21st. Where was our update on the 19th to inform us of a new release date?

 

Economy lately has stagnated, but that's okay! I'm learning to not be lazy and I'm shopping at different towns, or guess what?! I'm crafting almost everything I need! SHOCKER!

Anyway, I've had no competition for my glass smelting business. And I can still sell my diamonds, iron, and gold no matter what shop is in place.

Butttttttttt, I do have to complain like Im 5 years old here about the update. Where's the update on the update? At least something to keep us from being in the dark. But oh well, can't do anything but be patient. I'm just glad I don't have to debug the new shop system.

 

I think if anything staff will walk away from this learning a good lesson:

If you're going to change something on the server, don't tell the population until it is ready to be implemented.

The devs have opened themselves up to be criticised from multiple directions here, least of which promising something to be implemented and then not seeing a week after it's original due date. And yes we understand there are going to be bugs and so on, but this delay has meant the vshop prices have skyrocketed. People were told to take their items off a week ago, and I for one am too afraid to put my goods back up on the shop in case the vshop does get pulled off when I'm offline and I lose the chance to make money off it. I'm sure I'm not the only with this concern, otherwise the prices on vshop wouldn't be so high.

 

TRUE. I have most of my goods STOCKED UP. I've been selling stuff only when I'm online because I don't want to risk it all. Everything you find from me on vshop is only a small portion of what I've mined or smelted. If it does reset when I'm gone, I'll only lose a few thousand meebles if it don't sell fast. In fact, I have so much glass right now that I had to build another basement under my basement just to hold it all.

 

The economy is stalled beacause of this my friend told me he bought a ladsder for 100k really! Just implement it and fix the bugs laater the economy is crubling because of this.

P.S. tell fuzzlr to set the deadline to april 15 that way the staff have plenty of time to get the bugs fixed and people will put their items back on the vshop.

That's not possible, if you enter a set price, you will not buy any of the item if the price is higher than the price you set.

 

Sometimes, people get lazy and use:

/buy <number> ladder 123542134


(Basically spam the last number so that they get it now and don't have to actually think about the price)

Although based off of this, It would give him a max. price of 1220, not 100,000... Silly lies <3

 

Well then that's their own stupidity.

 

An update on meepshop would be really nice 2 weeks past the due date. And just to push some buttons and get peoples attention: I don't think resetting SkyBlock was a good enough distraction away from the failure of the meepshop implementation, maybe you should try resetting towns if you want to make people not care about meepshop.

Still no reply on the development of the shop? WHY!? Some type of response would be nice, but this is what I've come to expect from this place..... No respect!

 

I'm calling a week before it's actually implemented. Hopefully towns won't get an abrupt reset in that time to distract us from this delay, but why would the server do something like that?

 

I know right ? The greed is real.
