Hello Meep,

After much deliberation we have decided it would be best to remove the moderator application in its entirety. Instead, moderators will be promoted from helper by supermods monitoring performance* until it's to a degree we feel fit. The interview will still occur and will be adjusted to accommodate the lack of application - including questions about prism and other basic staff commands on top of the thorough moderation supermods have been doing. We see many benefits to this: helpers will continue to perform their best through their promotion, potential applicants are saved embarrassment or ridicule from being denied, it will encourage more dialogue between high and low staff, and, most importantly, helpers will be encouraged to have more of a community presence.

This is where you guys come in! To accommodate the lack of community input in this decision, which is crucial to know a helper's performance, we encourage you to use staff complaints for any issue you might be having. If it's minor, feel free to mail a supermod in game so we can investigate. (We also want to hear the good things!) We need the dialogue from you guys, but we find many more pros out of this than cons.

*Supermods do a review of helpers and moderators biweekly and have been doing so for a couple months. The review includes modreq counts, modreq quality, reflections on both positive and negative attributes, and a log of any issues we have come across.
