Ok fine a minor earthquake made the powder fall, and the cage fell over in it and it let the cat escape.
The cat is irrelevant to this story so we shall discount it.
The wolf escaped during this earthquake, and found misterbacon, who was mauled by the wolf, because it was frightened! Also the earthquake happened to do no damage apart from this.
