One and A Half Million Meebles!

Hello! Excuse me that I wasn't here on June 15th, had some stuff to do. But, without further ado... these three essays have made it to the final. The winner of these three will be decided tomorrow, June 17th. @metr0n0me, @Snowy7777 and @kcschmidt have moved onto the final! Congratz all three of you! Good luck in the final tomorrow!

The mere fact (or opinion, in this case) that he's a troll doesn't necessarily mean that his points are invalid, though. In fact, this is called the ad hominem fallacy.

 

Metr0 already gave plenty against that opinion. To be honest, I've said it in conversation and I'll say it here; Deljikho can shove his opinion where the sun don't shine. I have been here far too long to care if any unimportant individual person dislikes me. My posts have actually been much more on-topic and less flame-y than before; the extent of that is a whole nother thing.

Not to mention it's quite funny how you're calling me a troll; while the hypocrisy doesn't negate your opinion, it most certainly tells me to take it with a grain of salt. Honestly. You've been banned more than 30 times (my bans were for being edgy in chat, not insulting or flaming though), and nobody wanted you back. You can trust me on that.

Hopefully in the future, you will learn from your negative experience here and use that to become a contributing member of an online community. You plagiarized twice here as well. If you can't be trusted to not commit a felony act here, I think Jess was right when she said you didn't deserve the chance you got.

What are you even on about now? The reason I used more inflammatory language was because you literally discarded the millions of lives lost to turn it into some sort of joke. I don't know why you're making a mockery of yourself here either by creating obviously false lies because there is literally no point in not trying at all. Why don't you do your best, and see if you can get the money? I honestly won't go into the "im 15 and im a satanist im XxEdGYxX" phase you're having. What a ridiculous coverup, you could have just not posted and not made a fool of yourself.

I'm with @XxX_SpiderStrike_XxX on this. You're basically calling a six-year war that cost close to seventy million lives an excuse to gain pride? Most of those who actually did the fighting were mere teenagers; 16 year olds who lied about their age, 24 year olds who had survived the Great Depression, and 18 year olds who were drafted. Read the stories of those who watched their brothers-in-arms die in the most horrendous ways imaginable; machine guns that would rip them to shreds, bombs that would set them on fire or bury them alive in rubble, grenades that blew off heads, planes that took their pilots to the sea, battleships that were sent to the bottom of the Pacific, shot by snipers, flame-throwers, tanks, and almost every way imaginable to die. These men didn't ask for a war, but they stood up and fought for the country they believed in. To call the war an excuse for honor is not only the biggest insult to give to those who died, but a mockery of what every single one of them fought for. Every single event in history has some relevance, as it shapes who we are today. What took place in 1945 shaped the Cold War. What took place during the Cold War created the political balance we see today. One more thing, of those seventy million lives, close to fifty million of them were civilians who weren't even fighting.

Thanks! I honestly wrote that all from memory in 5 minutes. World War II happens to be my field of history. Anytime I get to a lesson on it in a history course, I can usually answer all the questions (correctly) without ever reading the textbook. (Not to brag, sorry!)

Congratulations to @metr0n0me on a job well done! Nice job @Snowy7777 on a really nice summary, but there were a few historical mistakes. Talk to me in a conversation if you want to discuss it! Those two truly stood out to me, and I can't even imagine how hard it was to decide @Kachess , as each one was of a different style. Metr0's was a fictional story, Snowy's was a summary, and my own was a debate. Thanks for hosting this contest!
