    Hello. PvP is a mess, and nothing is really getting done about the existing problems, so I thought I'd make a thread listing all the ones I can name off the top of my head. I'll start with the arena.

    Terrarium
    This isn't supposed to be an art piece, terrarium should be flat, little obstructions, in order to provide the most mobility and movement. Artistic design is something that is an add-on, after you've created a functional terrarium

    No's of Terrarium

    • No grass/minimal
    • No water
    • No lava
    • No mountains
    • No ice
    • No block that isn't a full block/slab (ex: Snow, carpet etc)

    Yes's of Terrarium
    • Flat terrain
    • Fire on the ground
    • Long ladders
    • Square shape

    Also, ladders should be a minimum of 10 blocks tall, with NO OBSTRUCTIONS. You don't know how annoying it is for someone to get away because you can't hit them off the ladder.

    We're no builders, and obviously this can be tweaked to look a little nicer, but I built that from the ideals of almost all competitive pvpers.


    Combat
    There are many things wrong with the combat and gameplay of terrarium right now. There are some things that need to be removed/added

    Invincibility - This is the most annoying one of all IMO. Players have 10 seconds of invincibility upon jumping into terrarium. This is annoying for players that just run around and you need to wait to hit them, but it's most annoying for when you kill a god armored person and you're sifting through their stuff, and someone picks it up, but they have the invincibility, and escape with all your hard earned loot. Fix : Remove it, or lower it to 2 or 3 seconds.


    Lag - This is a major issue, where hits don't always register and the serious lack of FPS among the majority of people with normal household computers. It's too central, move terrarium into it's own world or far away from where players need to load the ENTIRE spawn while fighting. It's seriously annoying. I average 60-120 fps in most places, but as soon as I start fighting I drop to 20. It's unplayable at times and it's incredibly annoying.

    Potions - ADD SPLASH BACK DAMMIT

    Plugin
    The killstreak plugin and bounty plugin is actually pretty cool. There's just one problem with it. It's broken. After killstreak #65, it stops annoucing it cross server, and it negates the bounty from the player and no longer gives a reward for the killing of said player. Fix : Fix the plugin, lol.

    Conclusion
    I took advice from most pvpers and this is a summary of the things gone wrong so far with terrarium.

    Hold on too much ignorance in this post. Okay, are you kidding me? I'm going to outline some stuff in bold hold on

    "Please don't try give ''Advice'' to Architects of any server when you yourself don't know how to build."

    • If you're a pvper then obstacles shouldn't be a problem for you?
    • If you're trying to kill someone for 5+ minutes in a pvp match and they ''get away'' Then the fault falls onto the players.
    • The idea is to chase them through trees, forest, water, caves etc.
    • You're blaming the server for your problems, and your inability to do accomplish something.
    Don't give advice to how pvpers should do their job or what they should do when they pvp. If you seriously want to comment on this thread and try to make a post on how pvp should be, when "you, yourself don't know how to pvp" then please, don't bother. Your entire argument here bases off how you shouldn't tell the author how to write, but you state how I need to "pvp better" in essence in order to accomplish the things that honestly aren't my fault, or anyone's but the server's. If you honestly want to comment how pvp should be done, then pvp to see how it should be done. I haven't even seen you with a sword in your hand, how can you bash the way the majority of actual pvpers want the pvp arena to be created?



    It's extremely difficult to comprehend the magnitude of coding it goes into even the simplest of things.

    KlutchDecals disabled them within 10 minutes. I honestly don't think it was that hard. Do you know how to code? How can you say that it was that difficult?




    I could go on for days on how your post gives me cringes and how it basically contradicts your entire argument. This may seem personal but it really isn't, but please stop sucking up and acting smart in order for architect. If you want to comment again, please try to make a post without ignorance because I really don't have that much patience right now.

    There is such a huge list to get done let's be honest it's demoralizing.
    Creative, ctf, parkour, PvP, maps even New spawns are ready. They just need implementing and unfortunately I just havnt seen these getting installed that's why I havnt been on much as I don't want to waste my time building something that's not getting put in.


    Bring back REGGLES at least things were happening.

    Hello,

    This isn't the first thread made regarding PvP issues on MeepCraft. We're aware of those issues. And yes it's always been pushed a little aside because it wasn't the most urgent thing to fix. But I would like to focus on this right now.
    I will hand out projects/jobs/tasks to those people who can help me here, since I will be on winter break from Jan 27 - Feb 7. (Developing aspects are not included here)

    Terrarium being in (the middle) of Spawn has always been a part of MeepCraft. Numerous times I have suggested the same, move Terrarium to another location. Fuzzlr would like to keep it there, I will do my best once more to convince him.

    As far as developing goes, bribe Dblosevn to do this first ;).

    I'd like to thank @Oldchopper and anyone else who aided the revamp of the Terrarium. Thanks a bunch, and the map is playable and enjoyable ;) Only a few more kinks to work out but I really appreciate the support and clarity of the staff team
