Raise Parkour Prizes

Oh for sure we need to broaden the spectrum of difficulty. All our current courses are medium difficulty, or are length not skill based. We really need one harder course and 1-2 easier courses. An older, less relavent course would probably need to be retired for all that (probably flower or balloon imo)

But of course staff don't need to waste time ATm working on parkour when farming and voting have the economy in a choke hold

 

@FamousZAmos whoever thinks it's garbage is not the brightest, that map is more appealing, creative and fun.

I’m sorry but I honestly don’t see what’s so funny about that. I think the fact that players are running towns off of clicking captchas is way more funny.

 

Not quite.

You could argue that parkour helps the server far more than voting. Parkour is on the server to be fun and challenging, with a variety of courses ranging in difficulty, right? And you need fun to retain players. You need variety to retain players. You need challenges to retain players.

Inflating the economy beyond belief to get a few extra players to join the server is useless if you can't retain those players.

The server can't simply say "Do parkour if you love parkour". Look at the playerbase of the server - it's clear the server needs to change something.

Increasing the prizes of the parkour courses affects the fun and the challenge - I for one would bother doing all of the courses if they paid more, which increases the time I spend on the server.

 

One benefits the server, one doesnt.

 

Honestly speaking, Meep is horrifically boring right now. The server itself just doesn't have the life it once had, so trade's not as easy to do. Shops and global are still a thing, but they're no where near as lively. With parkour rewards so low, trade being at an all time low, voting is the best way to make meebles. Voting. It's not even a part of the actual game itself, it's just a few clicks on a random site. Parkour is "fun," but what's the point of doing parkour here for relatively nothing when you could just play on another server dedicated to parkour with bigger maps?

The few times I come on to actually do parkour, there's only a couple people on. It just doesn't seem something worthwhile to do anymore.

Parkour arguably benefits the server as much as voting does. Voting might help the server gain attention, but that attention soon fades once they realize how boring the server is.

I don’t think it’s a ‘strange’ opinion of mine that I believe players should earn their money off of hard work and challenge. This is primarily an economy server, and that’s the way players should earn money. Players shouldn’t be able to run towns easily off of voting. Players shouldn’t be able to get ranks easily off of voting. Voting used to be a bonus, and now it’s blindly seen as one of the biggest benefits to the server. Content should be looked at first, not what brings players to the server.

Returning to the original topic, even if voting is nerfed, that still makes parkour pretty useless. Because meebles are worth less these days, the prizes that were set more than a year ago don’t do much good now. Parkour prizes need an increase regardless of whether or not voting has the changes it needs.
